I’m experiencing an issue that other users have experienced before, but none of the solutions are working. When adding a textblock using the advanced layout builder the textblock cannot be edited most of the time. The modal window is blank and there is a 403 error thrown if inspecting in the console. Since this is a server error I thought for sure it was a permissions issue, but test after test after test is proving it’s more than that. I have tried disabling all plugins and reinstalling Enfold with no success. WordPress version is 4.7.5 and Enfold version is 4.0.7.
I even thought I had some unclosed HTML tags that were causing the issue. However I copied the text and HTML from the debug panel, pasted it into a text editor and checked to make sure every HTML tag was closed. This issue is happening on more than one particular page, but not all pages and will happen if the exact text and HTML is copied into a new post. Now here’s where it gets strange (as if this isn’t strange enough already). I started trying to narrow it down by creating a new page and copying a section of the text at a time to see where it’s breaking. Even more strange I started removing a word at a time from the text until I found that the word “load” would break it. The word “load” is used three times in the entire paragraph of text, but it only breaks when in one particular sentence.
Completely frustrated I checked some of the other pages and found the issue again and it happened from the last sentence of text, but this time the word “load” was not in this sentence. Now I have no clue why or how this can be happening, but saying it’s just a server related error just doesn’t make sense or this should be a widespread issue throughout every page of the site.
Here are screenshots showing the textblock in question – http://pho.to/Ahp3E. The first screenshot is showing the textblock and the debug panel below it. The second screenshot shows the error when trying to edit the textblock. The third screenshot is showing the textblock working after removing the word “load”.

May 25, 2017 at 3:37 am #799321Hi,
I could not login using the info, please check.
Have you tried disabling your plugins. And reactivating each one individually until you find the cause?
Can we disable all plugins?Best regards,
MikeMay 25, 2017 at 1:27 pm #799527Sorry about the login. I pasted the wrong password and have provided the correct info in the private content. The issue is still there when all plugins are disabled. You’re welcome to disable anything as the site isn’t live yet.
May 26, 2017 at 2:30 am #799934Hi,
I believe addressing the 403 error will solve the issue. Please try the fixes listed here: https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/tips-tricks/how-to-fix-403-forbidden-error-in-wordpressBest regards,
MikeMay 26, 2017 at 3:28 pm #800167Figured out the problem. I knew there wasn’t an issue with permissions since there is another website using the Enfold theme on the same server. The website in the parent directory has Wordfence installed which was blocking access to admin-ajax.php in the subdomain’s directory. All I needed to do was whitelist my IP and everything works fine.
