I’m getting this weird bug in the text editor, as I don’t see any text in it, while there is text in that particular block….
This makes editing pages pretty rough/impossible. How do I solve this ? I seem to have this eror on most pages. Other times the text is white, or it’s possible to see the text under the sub-tab ‘text’ (instead of visual).
hoping you can assist soon as this makes edits to the site such a pain.
September 28, 2020 at 7:19 pm #1249133Hey NewbieEnfold,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,

September 30, 2020 at 6:28 am #1249578Hi,
Thanks for that. I checked the text block elements on your front page, but I can’t reproduce the problem there. Is this happening in a specific location only maybe?
Best regards,
RikardNovember 2, 2020 at 11:26 am #1257555Hi Rikard, this problem remains an issue, i thought it was gone but it persists. I encounter this on all pages, specifically at the portfolio items. My client is complaining that she cannot edit the text and I seem to have to reload the page often for the editor to finally show the content. I tried deactivating my caching plugins, but this doesnt seem to work.
Can you please find a solution? the site is becoming unworkable in this way!! :(
We can schedule a team-viewer appointment otherwise?

it seems like I’ve made a new profile since thenNovember 2, 2020 at 11:04 pm #1257745Hi the_digital_manager,
So did you get it working or do you need more help? Did you try testing with a different user role?
Best regards,
VictoriaNovember 3, 2020 at 5:30 pm #1258065Hi Victoria, a different user role than admin? with my role i should have full access, so i doubt that will change anything. The problem remains in both chrome and edge. Didnt try other browsers but the strange thing is that another enfold site which I manage works fine, whilst this site has some weird bugs such as this admin issues.
how can you help me?
November 4, 2020 at 9:44 pm #1258449Hi the_digital_manager,
Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.
Best regards,
VictoriaNovember 5, 2020 at 5:07 pm #1258662Hi Victoria, I’m afraid that solution won’t satisfy, as I said: I manage two websites and both use the same plugins. In one the website works fine, in the other it doesn’t and it’s becoming frustrating. I do hope you can look into this further…
November 9, 2020 at 1:58 pm #1259256Hi,
Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the login and screenshot.
I tested different portfolio pages and noticed that the ones that didn’t show the text in the text element were the ones the had your custom appointment script in a text element.
When you load these pages in the backend you will note that the text element tries to parse the code and show a preview of the script, this causes a javascript error in TinyMCE:Uncaught Error: no such method 'instance' for autocomplete widget instance
The solution for this is to add your script to a code block element, this element doesn’t try to parse the code and show a preview of the script.
Please see the test portfolio page in the Private Content area and note the code block element with the script in it.Best regards,
Mike -
