Hello,
we have a problem with editing text blocks. It often, but not always, appears here that html or special characters have been inserted, which is not the case. The ALB then seems to no longer build up the page correctly. This is a problem, especially in Windows-Firefox.
Kind regards
March 8, 2023 at 4:52 am #1400426Hey patriziahucho,
Thank you for the inquiry.
Do you add any custom scripts, inputs or shortcodes in the footer? It is possible that the custom scripts or the input tags are causing the page to break. Please try to rebuild the page again without the script and shortcodes, and see if the issue persists.
Best regards,

no, only elements from Enfold are loaded. We added the “Custom Widget Area” item and selected Menu. But in general, the problem occurs on several pages.
March 11, 2023 at 5:44 pm #1400850Hi,
Thanks for your patience, I checked both of your sites and see the footer page text block has been corrected at this time, but from your screenshot I can see the error:
I believe it’s the </p> code after the shortcode.
Sometimes when code is copied in the clipboard code can be converted, perhaps this is what occurred?
I recall another situation where a client had been copying text from another webpage using Firefox and pasting it into a text block in the “visual” tab, which looked fine, but the copying was actually including HTML from the source page and it was only noticed in the “text” tab.
The solution in this case was to inform the client that the browser may do this and to paste any copies first into a plain text editor to check for extra code.
Perhaps this is what occurred with your client?Best regards,
MikeApril 24, 2023 at 1:39 pm #1405375Hello, unfortunately we still have massive problems in Firefox on the PC.
Even pages in which only one text block is integrated cannot be edited in Firefox on the PC because the ALB does not build up.kind regards
April 25, 2023 at 6:52 am #1405474Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Could you please share an example of the HTML elements that you are attempting to place within a text or code block? Based on our previous experience, we have edited a test page on the site, and the HTML has remained intact after we updated the page. However, it is possible that the HTML elements you are using may contain invalid syntax, such as missing closing tags. Such errors could cause the HTML to break and not display properly on the page. Thus, we recommend thoroughly checking the syntax of the HTML elements before placing them on the site to ensure that they are valid and complete.
Best regards,
IsmaelApril 25, 2023 at 10:12 am #1405493We created the test page and just inserted the default text element with the default text, no custom text. The problem already occurred there.
Here is another screenshot. If you mark the text field, the code can be seen. Sometimes the page is also rendered normally when it is reloaded. We test it in Firefox PC, it’s ok on Mac.April 25, 2023 at 10:09 pm #1405604Hi,
Thanks for your screenshot, I checked your aqua med test test page and found no issues, but it looked like perhaps it had been edited since the screenshot so I created two new pages in firefox, one in Mac and one in Windows and recorded both of them linked below, but I found no issues.
Could your browser have an addon? Try disabling your extensions and try Safari and Chrome to see if you have the same issue.Best regards,
