I’m running into a few problems with the Enfold theme on our site photolightcase.com and wondered if you could help me?
When I try to edit the text in a text block in an existing page – when I click the text box it comes up with “Click here to add your own text” as if there is no existing content already there, however I can see the content I have added previously, I just want to add to it.
The page in question is:
– Page “Taking great photos with a smartphone”
However I’ve had this problem with other pages when editing text boxes and have lost lots of work everytime I update the site.Is there a problem with my editor? (the default editor doesn’t show any content either)
Many thanks

Thanks for reaching out to us and for providing a link as well in the private data section.
However, we are unable to access the page. Could you you please provide us with login credentials to your WordPress dashboard so that we can investigate further.
Best regards,

Thanks for getting back to me. I have already set Kriesi up as an administrator from a previous problem, you should be able to access our page that way – photolightcase.comSeptember 8, 2016 at 6:10 am #683493Hi,
Did you download your theme from any other place other than Themeforest? Your theme reads wplocker.com at the end and if you have downloaded it from there it’s a pirated copy.

Yes i think it was originally downloaded from there but then the legitimate version was purchased and installed. The last moderator to look at it said that if we wanted to delete the other one entirely it would probably lose all our settings and I didn’t have time to do it all over so I kept it there even though it’s been updated to the latest enfold version (we got a wordpress guy in India to do this because it was a bit complicated for me).
I’m still having problems with the text boxes on the “Tips & Tricks” page (and others too) not showing content and also blocks just keep disappearing when i work on one so that I have to keep adding them in again.
thanks
BrennaSeptember 9, 2016 at 6:56 am #684020Hi,
Ok, well I think the first order of business would be for you to start using the legal copy. Could you download the theme from your Themeforest account and then send it to your WP guy and tell him to reinstall it? If you export your setting prior to installing the new copy your settings should be safe. You could also tell him to try on a local or staging installation first if you want to be absolutely sure.
Send this link to him as well: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

We do have the legal copy installed but last month our website went down in the middle of a campaign (which was costly) saying that the theme had expired. We got our wordpress guy to reinstall it again and the same thing has just happened again one month later – but this time it is not letting us reinstate it. Did you do something at your end that is causing the theme to run as a demo version? We have bought the full version so i’m not sure why this is happening. It’s causing loss of sales though so if you could look into it as soon as possible we would be grateful.
Thank you
Brenna

Yes we have some code implemented to prevent piracy, but if you have your legal copy installed that should not happen. Are you sure that your developer has done this properly?

RikardOctober 5, 2016 at 2:40 pm #695500How can we restore the old theme setting?
October 6, 2016 at 7:35 am #695880Hi,
I’m not sure what you mean by that, but if you reinstall the theme using your legal copy you should not have any problem after that: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Thanks,
RikardOctober 6, 2016 at 8:38 am #695910Hi Rikard, are you saying that you did something to the code of the one we were using? our technical guy said we were using the legal copy and stopped using the other, so why has it expired?
Thanks,
