Hey
I have a question about the Read more link on my blog posts. The Read more link is displayed immediately after the title. However, I would like to read a few lines of blog text after the title and then click on the Read more link.
Where can this be set?April 3, 2021 at 9:53 pm #1292140Hey Beat,
Did you set the “Define Blog Grid layout” of the blog posts element? You can set it to Title and Excerpt + read more link.Best regards,

Thanks for the update. I can see the excerpt on all your posts, except the first one. Did you create that using the Layout Builder? If so, then the excerpt has to be added manually to the post. If you can’t see the excerpt field, then please select to show it under Screen Options in the top right hand corner of the edit screen.

Thanks for the clarification. On the first site, the page looks like it has been created using the Blog Posts element in the Layout Builder. Could you try using that method on the other site as well please?
Best regards,

Thanks for your answer.
I have looked at this again and compared the settings 1:1. Everything is identical and therefore the different display is not explainable.
Do you have another suggestion?

Thanks for the update. Could you post login details in private to both sites, so that we can have a closer look please?

Thanks for that. You had selected for the problem page to be your blog page in the theme options. When doing that, it will use a different template. I’ve selected to not have a blog page in the theme options for you, and it’s now working as you wish.

Your Blog Posts element was inside a Color Section element so it was taking fullwidth. I simply moved it out of Color Section so now your blog posts are on the left and sidebar is on the right just as in your example site :)
Please review your website and let us know if you need further assistance!

Thanks for the update. You need to add text to the excerpt field (Textauszug) in the sidebar of the post. Please try that out.

Thanks for your answer.
I entered the text in the sidebar and selected the short form in the settings-read. But the text excerpt is not displayed.

I went to Enfold theme options and switched editor from Block Editor to Classic WP Editor, edited your blog post, clicked “Screen options” on the top right corner and checked “excerpt” and then scrolled below your post content, added excerpt and updated your post.
Please review your website :)
