    Hi,
    images need AGES to load.
Even a dozen thumbnails need minutes to load – you can watch them load millimeter by millimeter.
Its a horror – my customers meanwhile complain via mail about it.

    Facts:
    Its NOT
    — the plugins (checked)
    – the server (pinged/ see video)
    – my bandwith/internet (tested / see video)

You can see the desaster in this video:
    maskenzauber.com/temp/slow.mp4

Or you watch the website crawl live on maskenzauber.com

This happens since the last update

These thumbnails (its not frontend) needed 1 Minute and 22 seconds until they where fully loaded.

And this is what Hetzner (our Hosting-Company) said

    Dear Mrs. Söhnlein,
that’s exactly what I can’t understand. Your website is huge, the pictures are much too big for your pixel size – but this size is loaded in all my tests (we are not specially connected here, but use a standard internet connection) in the expected time.

I don’t know the technique behind your page, so I can’t tell if these “slow” thumbnails always appear when they are created dynamically by your script.
In this respect, your technician would have to look at this in detail:

    – thumbnail calculations take place “on-the-fly
    – there are too many thumbnails in one folder (increased Seek load for the server)
    – why are the thumbnails so extremely large for your pixel count?
    – the problem is reproducible (e.g. by loading a specific image address)

    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=de&url=https%3A%2F%2Fmaskenzauber.com%2Fevent-show%2Fausstellung%2F

This shows a lot of problems
Our server has no load, nor is it otherwise conspicuous – it delivers your extensive site during my tests without any problems.

And the ping is confirming that it is not a server issue:

    Ping-Statistik für 78.47.73.197:
    Pakete: Gesendet = 4, Empfangen = 4, Verloren = 0
    (0% Verlust),
    Ca. Zeitangaben in Millisek.:
    Minimum = 16ms, Maximum = 17ms, Mittelwert = 16ms

I can’t confirm that on my side too. Although the gtmetrix values are not so nice –
It loads itself everything quite quickly ( And i cleared all cachings before making the screen film ) . See film. https://webers-testseite.de/wp-content/uploads/maskenzauber.mp4
Chrome only reports mixed content when loading some fonts – see picture.
but if you see the more informative Speedtest on gtmetrix: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/maskenzauber.com/88uokIa1
you will see that what probably slows down the most are the images that have not been optimized for the output sizes.
Next thing is matomo.js could be compressed ( thats your analytics tool ? )

As is stated before: The issue is NOT CONSISTENT.
    Please watch the video!

    And here is another thing:
Many people are waiting for at least 2 years that Enfold fixes this terrible “Serve scaled images” issue.
Scaling images by HTML (as ist is used for the gallery-widget) is “1990-style”.
It has been announced over a year ago from the support with something like “It is on our list. we well fix that in one of our next updates” but it has not been fixed:

    And here the link again:
    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=de&url=https%3A%2F%2Fmaskenzauber.com%2Fevent-show%2Fausstellung%2F
    Result: 4 from 100
Could almost not be worse – except, 3 , 2,1 or Zero.
And there is nothing special on this URL – just a little gallery and some text.
And this is tested at a time where the speed is good – i dont want to know what the results are at a time where i see the thumbnails crawl – like in my shown video

    Hi,

Give me backend details over the private content, I will optimize the site for you as a Christmas Present.

    Best regards,
    Basilis

    #1164378

    Hello Basilis,
thanks for that offer but i think that we optimised everything
    – Caching
    – Shortpixel
    – Speedsettings on Aviapage
    – htacess (expires/caches/compress and more)
    – Defer JS
    – responsive (which by the way leads to a massive increase in pageload because if you use Enfold you need to decide if you want SEO or Responsiveness.)
    and more….
What else do you want to optimize??

    And now back to topic
Yesterday the page did almost NOT load at all – for minutes.
    PLEASE see the video:
    [video src="https://maskenzauber.com/temp/maskenzauber-dead.mp4" /]

Of course we searched the reason for that desaster not only in the theme and thats why we discuss that since weeks also with our hosting company – Hetzner – and they always blame the theme.
Actually they said that there are problems with loading the fonts via JQuery.
Since we did not edit anything in the code (i only use the features and options offered by Enfold) it must be searched in the theme (if Hetzner is right with the font issue)

Here is the screenshot they provided to proof the issue:

    In addition:
On a mobile there is not even a menu anymore!!

    #1164850

Now also the blog has completely vanished:
    kriesi.at/support/topic/blog-does-not-show-any-content/

And the Portfolio does not work anymore:
    kriesi.at/support/topic/portfolio-does-not-work/

    #1165239

Are you interested in giving support?

    Just in case:
    I made a SQL-Dump
I Checked for “http” instead of “https” to make sure that this cant be the reason: Everything is delivered via https!
    I imported the dump

    Still:
The website is almost dead – at least in Opera & Chrome – in Firefox (at the moment) its running.
If you look at it you will realize that almost NOTHING loads that is connected with Javascript (no fonts, no Ajax-based portfolio, no Masonry-galery)

    Hi,

If we do not login I do not know what to do, sorry

    Best regards,
    Basilis
