Hello,
I’m trying to set up a news section on my website, but it’s not working as I’d like. 😅
My goal:
• Show the 3 most recent news posts on the homepage.
• Only display a teaser, meaning the text up to the <!–more–> tag.
• When clicking “Read more,” the full post should appear on a separate page.
Problems I’m encountering:
1. The teaser is not displayed on the homepage.
2. When clicking “Read more,” the full post opens on a new page, but without the title.
My workflow:
1. Add a new post
2. Open the advanced layout editor
3. Enter a title
4. Add a text block
5. Enter the text
6. Insert the “read more” tag (<!–more–>) at the desired point in the text
7. On the homepage, where I added the “Blog Posts” section, the post title, date, and “Read more” are displayed, but not the teaser text
8. Clicking “Read more” opens the full post, but the title is missing
Question:
What am I doing wrong? How can I make sure that
• the teaser appears on the homepage
• and the title is displayed on the full post page?
Thank you very much for your help! 🙏August 28, 2025 at 8:54 am #1488653Hey Tobias,
Thank you for the inquiry.
The issue lies in step 2 of your workflow. When switching to the Advanced Layout Builder, all default elements, such as the title, will not be included automatically. You’ll need to add these manually. The excerpt will also not be generated automatically, so you must enter it in the Excerpt field.
We recommend switching back to the default editor if you want the default post elements to display and the excerpt to be generated automatically.
Best regards,

thank you very much for your helpful reply. I noticed an issue when working with the Advanced Layout Builder. Whenever I switch back from the Advanced Layout Builder to the default editor, I only see code and I am no longer able to edit the content in the usual way. Could you please advise me on how to resolve this or let me know if this is expected behavior?
Thank you very much in advance for your support.August 28, 2025 at 1:14 pm #1488671 -
