    Hi,

We have set up a team page with Avia “Team Member” elements. When translating the page, the WPML translation page shows the “description” field as a single-line input, whereas the description field in the Avia editor supports line breaks (textarea field). We use the description field to provide phone and email values and break them into separate lines. In the translation editor however, the complete description is concatenated to one line of text, and no <br> tags work.

As a workaround, I edited the translated page directly (where the WPML plugin then displays a big warning that you should avoid doing this).

My question: Is this the correct way to circumvent that problem, or is there some configuration that you can enable, so WPML would correctly recognize the description field as a multi-line text field?

Thanks a lot for your support!

    Cheers,
    Bernhard

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting us.
Can you please take a moment and show the issue to the WPML team?
That will help us, because they will do locate why it is happening and help us get somewhere with the issue.

They are really polite and they do care for us to have compatibility, which will help us a lot!

    Thank you very much

    Best regards,
    Basilis
