    Hi,
I have created a single Tax in Woocommerce Settings and given it a Tax Name of GST.
While the tax and rate are being applied correctly the name is not being picked up and is appearing simply as ‘TAX’ on Checkout screen and other screens.
Ultimately to support regions that use GST it would be really handy if we had the option to rename VAT to GST globally throughout all of the system.
    Cheers

    Hey matt507,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Have you tried adjusting the tax options in the Woocommerce panel? Please check the documentation below for more info about tax options.

    Hi Ismael,

Tax is setup correctly for Australia, please refer to screenshots but instead of using the Tax Name the checkout page simply says ‘TAX’.
    Please see links attached.
My understanding is that the themes funstions.php controls how the tax information is presented.

    Cheers,
    Matthew

    Hi,

    Thank you for the screenshots.

Have you tried adjusting the “Display tax totals” to “Itemized”? The tax is currently displayed as a single total.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,
That worked for the checkout screen, it changed from TAX to GST, thanks!

However it doesn’t fix the VAT label in several screens.
In Australia we don’t have a VAT number or SSN, we have an ABN (Australian Business Number) and ACN (Australian Company Number). In practice only the ABN is typically used.
On the Checkout screen and the Customer Address we still have VAT and SSN.
    Please see attached screen shots.

    Hi,

We cannot find any specific option for this, and we are not really sure if this is even possible. You may need to contact the Woocommerce support for more info about the tax options.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
