Is there any way, using functions in child theme, to make new rows in a table go to the top rather than the bottom of the table? We have a lengthy table that we add a few new items to each month, and want them at the top. Given there’s no drag and drop functionality in the tables, we have to click about a hundred times to move the rows up one at a time all the way through the table. To say the least, we’re frustrated and looking for some solution. Someone else recommended adding tinyMCE advance but it apparently doesn’t work anymore with the newest WP.
Hey,
I’d suggest looking for more specialized options like TablePress (it is compatible with the theme and has an option to add a new row at the start of the table).
Best regards,
Josue
I’d considered that but TablePress is not responsive. They have a responsive extension for a price, but the way it works isn’t very good UX, you have to click on a little green plus sign that appears on the opposite side from where you’re looking for the content.
I’m going to hope all the people who’ve asked that the table component of Enfold be drag and drop like the accordions, the content sliders, the icon lists, and other components of the theme get their way! I’ll add my voice to that one as well over on “feature requests.” Thanks.
Actually from the look of things, it’s listed as “sortable table rows” in the “accepted” list on the support page for Enfold, so my sense is that it’s been worked on.
Hey!
Do let us know if you need anything else.
Please also if you do not mind, spare a moment to rate our themes, we would appreciate a lot.
