Hi,
I was very excited when the tab section was introduced last year, but did have one problem with it: That not all tabs were visible if the screen wasn’t wide enough. For example, on mobile, only three tabs are visible. Only when you click the last visible tab do others slide into sight. That’s not very intuitive. When visitors don’t see the content they’re looking for, they’re not likely to click random tabs in hopes of different content showing up.
On the forums at the time, we were told that the problem was being worked on. I’ve been out of the loop for a while and just came back, updated my site to the latest version, etc. and realized the problem is still in place. As much as I love the look of the tab section and how smoothly it works in the backend, being able to actually see the tabs is pretty crucial. Is a fix still in the works?
I also encountered a separate problem with the tab section. When on my phone, or when zoomed in on my desktop, the tab content doesn’t always align with the screen properly. For example, if I select tab D, I’ll only see half of the tab D content on the left of the screen, and a peek at the tab E content on the right of the screen.
Thanks in advance for your help.

We will do review it back with our developers, so we can see what can be done and make them look better.

BasilisApril 12, 2018 at 5:13 pm #941047Thanks! The tabs are now pretty much unusable on mobile, both in terms of actually seeing the tab content and being able to navigate to other tabs – which is a shame, because they’re so pleasant to use. Fingers crossed it’s fixed soon.

BasilisJune 21, 2018 at 12:02 pm #975763Im having the same issue… i have 7 tabs, but customers dont know theres more than 3.
Is there any way to fix thes? Maybe like on a slider, show an arrow / button on the right when theres more that way. And when you can go both ways, show arrow/button both on right and left, and on the last tab only show the arrow/button on the left.
Maybe a narrow area that has the same height as the tabs.
Would really be apreciated if you could make a fix like that!!!!!

June 23, 2018 at 11:17 am #976881Hi Rene Hoj,
If the tabs do not work for you on mobile, you can hide them and use another element on mobile, like an accordion for example.
If you need further assistance please let us know.

VictoriaJune 23, 2018 at 11:44 am #976898Such a solution is not practical in my case – a majority of my page content is in tabs so having a separate accordion element means needing to duplicate a ton of content and manually keeping both updated.
June 23, 2018 at 1:53 pm #976950Hi CDuyvis,
Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css, if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { .js_active .av-layout-tab { width: 90vw; } }
If you need further assistance please let us know.

VictoriaJune 25, 2018 at 10:03 am #977348same for me, I would also appreciate a better solution for tab-section in responsive mode…
June 25, 2018 at 12:43 pm #977416Hi Maw87,
Can you please describe in more detail the issue you’re having?

VictoriaJune 25, 2018 at 3:42 pm #977545Hi Victoria,
on smartphone the user can see just 3 tabs (also if there are more tabs). It would be great if you will develop a solution that users can see, that there are more tabs. Maybe it would be great to make the tabs horizontally scrollable on mobile!

MarcJune 26, 2018 at 4:25 pm #977996Hi Marc,
Unfortunately, at this point, this option is not available. Actually, the tab titles are scrollable on mobile. It’s just probably not that obvious. We’ll keep your suggestion in mind.

VictoriaApril 15, 2019 at 9:37 am #1090888take a look at this page, here you can see a similar tab section “Communication / strategy / branding /…” and in responsive mode the icons are still visible:

wouldnt that be a nice solution to choose as option?April 15, 2019 at 1:39 pm #1090961Thanks for the suggestion, but i dont like it getting so messy… i like it all inline, beeing able to swipe if pssible.
Making clear indication if theres more tabs. Its been solved a lot better on several other sites

VictoriaJune 28, 2019 at 5:53 pm #1114322Hi,
Does anyone have a fix for this yet? All I want is for the tab title section to be scrollable..
June 29, 2019 at 7:56 pm #1114499Hi mmaaroof,
Tab titles are not scrollable, tab content it scrollable. There is no such customization at the moment.
Best regards,
