I am having visual issues with tab section on iOS 9 Safari browser. The contents inside tabs are showing up partly on iPhone. Sometimes the contents does not load at all. The icons in the list does not popup on iPhone. I did cleared the CloudFlare cache, phone cache and checked it many times.
I was also looking for a solution here and found that some of users already have some issues with tab section on iOS. Can you please take a look?
Regards
August 14, 2017 at 9:08 pm #838955Hey L,
That can be an issue with cloudflare cache and not related with our theme at all
It can be caching / loadig the files under cache and making those issues we are afraid.Let us know if we can do anything for our theme, but for such issues it is better to hire someone to help you debug it
as it is not related on the functionality of the theme.Thank you
Best regards,
BasilisAugust 14, 2017 at 10:08 pm #838970Hey Basilis,
This does not help me at all. It is related to the theme, because CloudFlare was on Development mode and totally bypassed at the moment I tested it. On top of that if it would be a caching issue we would see it while testing on other browsers too, so you might be wrong here.
Can you confirm that the same setup works on your environment without any issues? I can move the website on any setup without any caches and we will have the same issue for 100%.
Can you at least try to replicate a page on your dev setup and:
1 Create 3 or more tab sections with the same settings as I have
2 Insert two 1/2, 1/2 columns in each tab section
3 Insert text and headline text in the first column for both sections
4 Insert icon list in the second column for both sections
5 Open the page on Safari and switch the tabs to see if the Tab sections are making the same issuesThanks
P.S. Basilis, No one clicked or visited the link in the private section today. How are you able to tell the cause of the issue without at least checking the website?
August 17, 2017 at 9:32 pm #840612Hi,
No, if it is a cache issue, it can be on one browser ( as that browser is cached ) and not happen to others ( as switch from live cloduflare to development so the cache was over ).
Best regards,
BasilisAugust 17, 2017 at 9:48 pm #840622No one even looked at the website. The cache was cleared. Specially for you – I will host a clean Enfold theme on a cache free environment and post a link here.
August 17, 2017 at 10:20 pm #840633No one has looked at the website to evaluate the problem for 6 days now. The CloudFlare cache is off at the DNS level for the staging subdomain.
Can someone please take a look at the website on Safari (iOS) before making an assumption?
Links to screenshots attached in Private area. You can see that I can only see the icons and switcher area. The very top of contents is barely seen.
August 22, 2017 at 6:07 am #842315Hi,
We are very sorry for the late response. We have included a few patches in the latest version of the theme, 4.1.2. I think the site is running on an older version of the theme because the header.php file in the child theme is not the recent. Please upgrade the theme properly.
If possible, please avoid modification of the parent theme files. This is what a child theme is for.

I checked your website on my iphone 5s and Safari on macOS but cannot reproduce the issue. Attached screenshots in private content field below.
Have you flushed cache on your mobile browser after updating the theme? As Ismael mentioned above, the issue you mention should be fixed already.

YigitAugust 24, 2017 at 2:05 pm #843496Hi Yigit,
Thanks for reply!
It was a clean install on a fresh sub-domain. I did not updated it but created a new one, imported enfold theme and accessed it for first time on my mobile, so there was no cache created yet!
I also can see that the icons did not popped up for you and there are issues with that, which does not seem to be professional. If you compare how Tabs section functioning on PC Chrome seamlessly. But on mobile iOS it is not good. The test devices were latest iPad on iOS 9 and iPhone iOS 9 Safari browser.
How can I fix this?

VictoriaSeptember 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm #854855Can you please let me know, when exactly will the next update and a fix for this is planned to be released?
I understand that the dev team might be extremely busy but these issues holding us on our project and I believe that there are a lot of users avoiding to implement tabs section because of these visual bugs on iOS.

Since you haven`t posted a temporary fix, I assume that this issue is not fixed yet?Regards
October 4, 2017 at 11:21 am #860086Hi,
i have same problem on 2 web sites, if it can help waiting for update, if you set the Tab section setting for Content height to “Same height for all tabs”, then overflow contents are no more hidden on Ipad or Iphone (but with many empty space for shorter ones of course).
Each tab have to be set to vertical align top in settings (default middle)Regards
October 7, 2017 at 12:30 pm #861355Hi there, I also posted in another thread. But I’m guessing this is the problem I’m experiencing as well? Any news on updates? I have a big membership site and getting a lot of emails from people not being able to see the content. Hope there’s an update soon! Thanks!
October 7, 2017 at 1:07 pm #861360Hi Connepon,
Yes, I’ve read your topic. I have the same issues with Enfold on Safari. I am holding the publishing of the update on my website for almost two months now! Waiting for the fix Kriesi.

October 9, 2017 at 7:55 pm #862065Hello
Is this being fixed? Two months have passed already. When can Enfold users expect this to be fixed? This is taking too long.October 16, 2017 at 5:05 am #864615Am I being ignored here?
October 18, 2017 at 2:50 am #865506Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. Your issue has been reported to our developer team and no you are not ignored :) Sometimes few issues take time.
I suspect that the safari does not support the animation of the element and it is causing the icons to not load properly on the front end.
For testing purpose add the below CSS code to remove animation on the icons and check if that help!
#top .avia-icon-list * { transition: none!important; opacity: 1!important; }

October 18, 2017 at 7:18 am #865556Hi Vinay,
That code isn’t directly related with this, besides I would like the icons to stay animated – like they are naturally meant to behave.
I hope that you understand what this issue is about. There are other users reported tab section bugs on Safari as well, so I am not the only one. A lot of Enfold based production websites are affected by this.
At least give me an ETA, so I can consider – keep the Enfold or use another theme.
Regards
October 23, 2017 at 8:25 am #867482Hi,
As mentioned earlier the code provided is for “TESTING” purpose only because I tested the same setup on my installation and it works fine. There are many factors due to which this issue persist on your end and we appreciate your co-operation to determine and resolve this issue for you :)
At the moment we do not have an ETA but we do release updates quite often in a very short span of time.
Best regards,
VinayOctober 23, 2017 at 8:33 am #867485Just have a look on any Enfold install with tab section on Safari browser. The issue is not only on my end nor specific to any hosting environment. It’s been more than 2 months without a solid solution. Disappointed.
October 24, 2017 at 5:44 am #867966Hi,
We are very sorry about that. The latest version of the theme, 4.2, is now available on themeforest. Please update the theme.
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 6, 2017 at 1:11 am #872881The version 4.2. didn`t solve the issues described above.
I updated the demo website to 4.2, completely flushed the browser cache, put the CF on Development mode, bypassed it completely (on a DNS level) and tested it for a lot of times on different iOS devices.
Nothing seems to be solved. The icons didn`t pop up completely, on iOS the contents load partly hidden, when refreshing the contents of Tab section disappear, then on the next refresh appearing partly. When changing from horizontal to vertical there are issues as well. BTW – on Android Chrome it is not looking good too.
November 6, 2017 at 6:40 pm #873262Hi L,
Can you give us the links again please, I got a 410 on the old ones.
Best regards,
