    My site was recently cured of the recent SoakSoak malware, and I’m trying to put back the pieces and get everything up and running.

    The blog on my site: http://www.grownmanbrand.com/blog isn’t loading and showing me a syntax error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘text’ (T_STRING) in /home1/gmyhre/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/helpers/phpQuery.php on line 522

    I’ve opened up this php file via FTP to see if I could fix it – the only thing I did was change the double quotes ” to single quote ‘
    Doesn’t seem to help. Any ideas?

    Hey Matt!

    Let’s try the following.

    1. Deactivate all plugins.

    2. Completely delete Enfold from your WordPress theme directory via FTP before downloading + uploading a fresh copy from themeforest.

    No luck. Still getting the syntax error. I can’t log in using wp-admin either due to a database connection error. (I made another post about this)

    Hey!

    I would try reloading a backup. If you do not have one then it would be best to reinstall WordPress.
