Hey guys!
Enfold’s shortcodes are not working anymore since update. I contacted support of Superfly Menu and this is what they’ve told me:
Hello, I’m Glen, developer of the plugin, your ticket was re-assigned to me. I ran some tests and here’s what I find out. Other than [av] shortcodes works fine ( eg Mailchimp form shortcode) and I checked if there is error in stored content but no, everything is fine. I recommend to ask theme support why calling WP standard do_shortcode functioin with its shortcodes results in empty string. I assume theme utilizies additional filters for its shortcodes or other requirements to render them. Also check if you add shortcodes in correct format, maybe quote symbols. Some text editors convert symbols

Other content is working fine, just Enfold’s shortcodes are not working. Can you help me please?
April 24, 2019 at 4:30 pm #1094057Same issue on my site: shortcodes not working in custom post types (events of Timetable Responsive Schedule plugin by QuanticLabs). They do work only in pages and articles (standard post types).
April 29, 2019 at 7:04 pm #1095433Hi,
I installed the beta version on your website however that did not help. I will ask our devs to look into it. Please kindly wait to hear from them :)
@Wiseguyver Could you please start a new thread under Enfold sub forum and attach temporary admin logins in private content field so we can look into it?Best regards,

May 4, 2019 at 3:11 pm #1097228Hi,
We have released a beta version 4.5.6.1 that could fix your problem (see private content).
Can you please try to update the theme and check ?
If you need help please provide ftp access and our moderators can help you.
Do not forget to make a backup of theme files for a fallback.
Clear server and browser cache, if using enfold js and css compression disable it, check, then enable and check to force a rebuild of compressed files.

GünterMay 6, 2019 at 9:35 am #1097618Hi Günter,
opening the zip file does not work for me, see this error: https://imgur.com/V0NYqal
It’s weird cause you’ve provided a password for the file, but there does not appear any field to use it.
I’m using Mac OS 10.14.4.
Hope you can help me!
May 6, 2019 at 9:57 am #1097626Hi,
Sorry for that – I’m working on a Windows system.
Can you provide us FTP access and I ask a collegue to help you with uploading.
Do you want us to update your theme completly or shall we provide you an unprotected zip on your server in an own directory?
Best regards,
GünterMay 6, 2019 at 10:27 am #1097641Thanks Günter, I used an external app to unzip it and then unzipping worked.
I followed your advice and updated with this beta version, cleared all cache, disabled compression of JS and CSS. Unfortunately it did not help. My superfly menu with Enfold’s shortcode is still not working.
I made a quick screen video for you, to explain the issue in more detail: https://www.loom.com/share/5b48a8b8516c421586831349033e8fb1
In private content I provide you FTP access, in case you still need it.
Hopefully you can help me with this issue!

May 6, 2019 at 10:46 am #1097651Hi,
Glad that worked.
There is a new option in Enfold -> Theme Options -> Preprocessing Shortcodes In Header.
Select “allow to process”.And as a first step also in Enfold -> Preformance disable Enfold compression of js and css files and
“Disabling of template builder elements” select always load all elements. Then you can try to enable step by step.
Best regards,
GünterMay 6, 2019 at 12:42 pm #1097669The new function “Allow to preprocess shortcodes” did the trick. Günter, you are a genius! Thank you a lot. Everything is working fine now. Kriesi’s support is simply amazing. You can close this one here. Have an awesome day!
