I got my hands on a dell w8 tablet yesterday. I wanted to see if my website rendered correctly on it to discover, that the pop down menu and mega menu stays down only as long as you keep your finger on the link, so there is no way to click any of the links that pop down. This only was a problem with the latest version of Internet explorer on a windows tablet. Chrome worked ok. I have tried it on your demo page http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/ with the same results.

    Hi vitaliss!

I think this is something we have no control over. Maybe, we’ll find a fix on how some touch device handle hover states in the future. There is another user who reported the issue but unfortunately, we were unable to provide a solution.

    Regards,
    Ismael

This is upsetting, because the menus are not some gimicky feature you can live without. It is core functionality. It is important it works on any device.

This kind of thing could happen when:
    1. Internet explorer is non standard compliant
    2. Enford is non standard compliant
    3. There is a bug (with either IE or Enfold)
    4. Enfold is not touch device friendly

Could you please let me know which one this falls into? Thanks.

    Hi!

As far as I know IE on Windows 8.1 should be rendering hover events as touch events. Older versions of IE failed at this which a lot of early windows phone users were made painfully aware of.

Currently however it should and as far as I know does render hover events as active until clicked again. You might need to check that the device used is up to date with Windows 8 and the app version of IE. I’m not sure any of us have a windows tablet to test on but so far this is the only time I’ve heard of the effect working this way even in IE.

    Best regards,
    Devin

I have just tested again with the latest version of IE on an 8.1 windows tablet. Still same issue 10 month after reporting this :(

    Hey!

Please go to Enfold theme options > Header > Mobile menu and set “Header Mobile Menu activation” to 990px and then check “Hide Mobile Menu Submenu Items”

    Cheers!
