Submenu Overlapping main menu

I used the Quick CSS to make the menu wider but they are overlapping now.
There were some code snippets I found in a similar thread but not working for me

/* –AS– stretching the pulldown menu to 250 px */
.main_menu .menu ul { width: 250px; }
#top .av-submenu-container {
position: relative !important;
}

Hover over programs and you see that parts of the main menu are overlapped by the sub menu
