    Hello,

my wordpress is in zumkollektiv.de/wordpress now I did that: http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory#Using_a_pre-existing_subdirectory_install to open the installation about zumkollektiv.de

The Problem: the main site ist not working, there is always an 404 error – but the other sites like zumkollektiv.de/das-kollektiv are working. So where is the problem that the main start site isn’t displayed? I think it is a Theme problem because the other sites are working…

    Hi trngl!

You can try switching the theme on that install to one of the default themes and see it works. I don’t think it would be a theme issue in this instance however as the theme doesn’t have anything specific about where its installed or where the WordPress index points to.

    Regards,
    Devin

Ok you’re right, with another theme it’s the same problem. Nevertheless, do you have any idea what’s the problem or where I can find help? If I’m putting permalinks to standard, it’s working… strange?

You can try the WordPress support forums but it sounds like it might just be a permalink issue. The permalinks codex page has some troubleshooting tips you can try: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Fixing_Permalink_Problems
