    The following is the temporary solution for:
    A. scrolling letters disappearing from my home page
    B. Looping background video turning into a still shot on my home page
    C. Looping background video disappearing from the contact us page
    D. it does this randomly and about 1-2 per month.
    so here’s the solution.

    Once I’m in my hostgator account:

    1. close the popup
    2. click file manager
    3. in the fourth row
    4. click go
    5. go in wp-content
    6. very top
    7. scroll all the way up
    8. go to themes
    9. you see enfold.zip
    10. yes
    11. don’t download
    or double click
    12. select it
    13. and press extract
    14. ok
    15. at the very top right
    16. click extract files
    17. select close
    18. & you are done
    19. What’s up with that????
    20. it is replacing all the theme files
    21. I’m not familiar with that.
    22. as enfold team advised last time
    23. Is there a way to automate that?
    24. but we need prevent it from happening

    Hi,

    Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply. Please note that autoplay videos are disabled on mobile devices and I’m guessing you have instructed the section to have a fallback image.

    1. I didn’t get an email showing me you replied. I’d like to get your messages that way if possible.
    2. How do I set up a temporary admin log in?
    3. I’m alright with the video being merely an image on the mobile.
    4. But the website is not working. Check it out now. It’ happened again.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the details but they are not working for me unfortunately, could you check please? Also, if you have some kind of step-by-step on how to reproduce the error that would be great as well.

    1. The error just happens every couple weeks it seems.
    2. I “fixed” the site because I was sending people to it.
    3. the “fixing” I’ve been able to do has proven to be only a temporary repair.
    4. can you give me step by step direction on how to get a temporary admin login?

    Hey!

    1.) Can you please provide a screenshot of the issue? I checked the site and it looks OK. By “scrolling letters”, are you referring to the text type effect?

    2.) Not sure what you mean by this. Can you please elaborate?

    3.) What is the temporary fix?

    4.) Please send us your current login details.

    1. It’s ok right now, but if it continues as it has been… I’ll be able to grab a screen shot within 14 days.
    Here’s the description:
    * the HOME page just has a cloud picture (not the looping video that’s there.
    * and everywhere on the home page there are clouds the are NO words. So the words you see now, the still words and the scrolling words basically everything on the clouds section becomes invisible.
    * the testimonials section just underneath the clouds section disappears too.
    * And then on the CONTACT page the looping video in the back either A dissapears or B. just stops. but everything else remains the same.
    This happens randomly about every 2 weeks.
    That’s basically it.

    2. What I mean by “I fixed the site…” is that I just follows the instructions about to temporarily fix the above mentioned issues because It’s my website and prospective clients were looking at it. I didn’t want to leave it down just for you to see it when it could lose me business. Next time I’ll take screen shots.

    3. the “temporary fix” is the 32 steps listed above that my wordpress guy told me will fix it. It does work, but it’s a temporary fix. He said the real issue is with enfold.

    Hi,

    1. About your looping video, you have set a cloud background image to the color section so if the video doesn’t load that image will be shown. You might want to host the video with a service like Youtube or Vimeo instead to see if that helps. I couldn’t see anything disappearing though but things sometimes don’t load on websites due to various reason.

    3. Did your WordPress guy go into any further details what the problem with the theme is? We’ve never heard of issues like this so maybe he can enlighten us?

    Can you see it now. it disappeared again. the looping videos are hosted at youtube.

    Hi,

    The details you posted previously are not working anymore, could you check? You are getting a javascript error on the page, could you please try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
