Just tried to update 2 of my sites with the new Enfold update. Both are stuck in maintenance mode now. Is this just a coincidence or has this new update got a bug!? I am reinstalling the older version.

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,
VictoriaFebruary 3, 2018 at 7:29 pm #907266I have 3 seperate sites running Enfold. Each one of them has become stuck in Maintenance mode when trying to update via the update theme option on the WP dashboard. So this is not an issue for just one site. It is also not a server issue as 2 sites are with one host and the other is on a different host also. There is something wrong with the update…
Good news, however, is that I can update via FTP just fine so I am moving on.- This reply was modified 6 years, 10 months ago by turemovich.
February 3, 2018 at 8:20 pm #907280Hi,
Sounds like you have solved the issue by updating via FTP. Here is good article on the subject: WordPress Maintenance Mode: How Do I Get Out Of It?Best regards,

February 7, 2018 at 4:11 am #908887Hi,
@samdive, your site is now up again. I believe you had this issue because WordPress was trying to update, you have this warning at the top of your admin screen:An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.
I see you are using PHP Version: 5.6.32 please ask your webhost to help you update to PHP v7, while they are helping you, also ask for PHP Post Max Size: 20M & PHP Max Upload Size: 50M & to enable PHP ZipArchive Extension.
Then try updating WordPress again.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 7, 2018 at 7:14 pm #909348had happened again – can you help again? Thanks
February 7, 2018 at 9:01 pm #909407Hi,
There is not a lot we can do.
Please update the web site through ftp and important ask your hosting provider to increase you upload and memory limit.
512M would be the best case please.Best regards,

Your site seems to be working now, but should this happen again here are some resources:
For the general “Briefly unabailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” error:

For the “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete” in the admin panel after a Maintenance Mode error:
