    Hi Guys —

2.6 has really improved the development experience for full browser video! Thanks —
I am using a video for my home page

    http://www.oceanportalproject.org

Works great on the desktop, but when I look at it on an iPhone and iPad the image I have used as a background image does not stretch to fit the screen —
On the Styles/Custom Background setting I have the option to repeat the image but this has a different effect. I’m wondering if a stretch to fit selection could be added to that area or if there is a different way I should go about getting my background image fall back for video on mobil devices to stretch to the edges of the browser.

    Hi georgeorbelian!

I’m not seeing the image background in place right now (on the site linked above) but I’ll ask Kriesi if a stretch to fit or cover option can be added in.

    Best regards,
    Devin

Awe — that’s interesting, i just refreshed my iPhone and iPad to check again and at this link
    http://oceanportalproject.org

The fall back background image does not stretch to fit. I’m wondering if I’m setting it up correctly.
I set it up in theme options/styling/alternate content/custom background image —
At the moment I have the background set to no-repeat, when I do allow it to repeat, it doesn’t look very clean or good in this case.
That would be great if Krisei can add a stitch to fit feature in the drop down menu for the custom background image in the styles area, just like it is for the color section controls.

    Best regards,

    George

Did you add an image background to that specific color section?

    Hi Devin —

That was it! I placed a background image in the color section along with the movie link and all is good. It looks like I misunderstood the instructions. I placed the image in the styles/image background in the alternate styles tab and then assigned the color section to alternate.
By placing the background image in the color section directly then using the main styles, everything works well across all devices.
Thanks for helping me out with this Devin.

    Glad we could help :)

I’ll be doing another round of videos on how to use all the video content since it seems to have stablized so hopefully it will be more clear for others down the road!
