    Hi all,
    in the last day we encountered strange problems. We get Emails from (Email address hidden if logged out) (“ourdomain” as placeholder) with the subject form our contact form. The emails only contain the last field of our contact form (DSGVO) which is a mandatory field and its status is “false”.

    The contact form itself works as it should. you can not send without filling the mandatory fields or clicking the DSGVO-field. The Email-address “no-reply@xxx… does not exist at all.

    What the hell can be the reason? I’ve checked all possible things with the hoster. they can’t any clues. Btw the form is sent via PHPMailer 5.2.22.

    Hey Dieter,

    That can be a spam email, but a robot that marks the field and processes the form…

    Hi Basilis,
    thank you for your answer. This is definitely no bot. The contact form does not send, if not all fields are filled. I checked the logs and everything else with the provider and we are pretty sure that it is a problem with Enfold respectively Enfold with PHP 7.2.

    We will see what happens in the next days and weeks… ;-)
