Hi Guys.
I’m currently having a problem that I’ve never had before:
The way I usually work is that I have a tab open in the browser for editing the page and another tab for viewing the homepage/frontend.Now the following happens: After I changed something on a page, saved the changes and updated the frontend in the other tab, the new version does not appear there, only the version as before.
(Today – I’m almost certain – an even older version of the page was displayed.)This effect also occurs when I cleared the cache (three times – 1: clear page cache – 2: delete cache – 3: CSS/JS minimized).
This type of non-update only seems to occur when changes are made to the page. For example, if I change something in the menu, the change will be reflected immediately the next time I refresh the frontend.
The only way for a change to appear correctly is if I click “Page updated. Show Page.” on the head of the edit page in the backend after saving. The tab “switches” from backend to frontend and the new version is displayed – however, the incorrect older version is still displayed in the tab next to it (even after another update).
Of course you can say: “Well, then always do it like this – what’s the problem?” But I don’t understand why “my” usual application method no longer works…?
See the differences here (imgur). Finally, this is also strange: the page displayed in the front end doesn’t react at all to my clicks on the curved “Firefox refresh arrow”, the page is not reloading. I The only way to force this is to click on my site logo at the top left of the navigation bar. (of course still not with the correct result)
I don’t know if this is even a matter of Enfold’s, but I’m overwhelmed and hope you can shed some light on this.
I use Firefox 123.0, the provider is strato.de.Best regards

This problem sounds like a local machine or browser problem. Did you try restarting your default browser, or try a different one? You could also try using a private browser window.
Best regards,

thanks for answering.
I now checked – in addition to firefox which I am usually using – the browsers chrome and safari.
In both it seems to be the same problem.
After opening the site (in backend), the elements are shown as they should. See the implemented logo grafics which is correct and which I want to see on frontend.
Opening the site in frontend view, still a picture is shown insteadt of the logo. See this.
And again – whether in Firefox, Chrome or Safari – the correct page can only be displayed if I click “Show Page”. (See here.) The problem, however, is that this is only the case in this tab.I also tried to open the pages on my smartphone (Firefox, Chrome, Safari) – the same effect… And I visited the website-adress via several computers, all the same as well.
As if I had never changed the page…Finally it not seemes to be a browser problem. Editing other websites and getting the right result on frontend is not a problem.
Can you give me a hint what you mean with “local maschine problem”?Thanks for your patience.
Best regads
GrobiFebruary 26, 2024 at 4:15 pm #1435455Hi,
Thanks for the update. How can we reproduce the problem you are describing? I can’t see that happening on a test installation, and we’ve had no reports from other users having the same problem.
A local problem could be not being able to refresh a page with the refresh button for example, that would indicate a problem with your local machine or browser.
Best regards,
Rikard -
