Hi!
At my page webinartrainer.eu (at bottom) there is a strange auto scroll functionality when clicking on the icons of the “Tour” (from Visual Composer). it hides content.
Visual Composer support says this has nothing to do with them …
Can I disable the auto scroll?

Are you using a plugin for that functionality? Our support is limited for third party plugins unfortunately but send us an admin login in private and we’ll have a close look at it.

RikardJanuary 25, 2016 at 9:50 am #571170Hi Rikard,
thank you for your reply!
I am a beginner, and I saw this functionality first when using “Tour” (accordion at the end of http://www.webinartrainer.eu) of Visual Composer. Visual Composer guys say, it has nothing to do with them.

January 28, 2016 at 4:34 am #573466Hi Ronald,
Thanks for the login details, I’m not sure what to tell you other than there seems to be a compatibility issue with the theme and the plugin. Issues like these are inevitable when using themes like Enfold and we can’t be compatible with all plugins out the unfortunately. Could you find the functionality you want in an alternative plugin or maybe even build it with the theme itself instead?
Regards,
RikardJanuary 28, 2016 at 8:41 am #573557Hi!
Thank you for your reply.
You mentioned “the plugin”. Which plugin is incompatibel?

RonaldJanuary 29, 2016 at 4:31 am #574292Hi Ronald,
Visual Composer is the plugin I’m referring to, I’m not sure why you want to use that when one of the biggest benefits of Enfold is the ALB (Advanced Layout Builder) which is more or less the same thing?

RikardJanuary 29, 2016 at 9:24 am #574382Hi Rikard,
I am a beginner and I am glad that I learned to create pages with Visual Composer (and its addons). I don’t want to change to another page builder also because it would be a lot of work for me.
Do you know any solution without deactivating Visual Composer? Can I do something in quick css?

RonaldFebruary 1, 2016 at 4:58 am #575519Hey!
Please try to modify the js > avia.js file then look for this code:
//smooth scrooling if($.fn.avia_smoothscroll) $('a[href*=#]', container).avia_smoothscroll(container);
Remove it. Note that this will disable the smooth scroll on the entire website. Unfortunately, we can’t or don’t provide extensive support for third party plugins such as the visual composer.

IsmaelFebruary 2, 2016 at 11:19 am #576361Hey!
Do you have any resource which explains step by step how and where exactly to remove the code?

RonaldFebruary 2, 2016 at 5:32 pm #576579Hey!
Please go to wp-content/themes/enfold/js folder via FTP and find avia.js file there and make the changes Ismael mentioned above there.

Cool it works!
Will these changes get lost after an update?

RonaldFebruary 4, 2016 at 6:58 pm #577990Hey!
Not if you are using a child theme if not please create a child theme so all your custom code and changes remain intact when you update the theme.
Please check this link for more info http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/

Vinay KashyapFebruary 19, 2016 at 6:02 pm #586204Hi Vinay,
I followed step by step of the instructions and now my site looks completely different.
In the last sentence of …
http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/
… it is said that I have to re-set my options manually? Unfortunately I don’t know, how to do that – I have no documentation about all the changes done before and not really the competencies to do these changes!I thought after installing the child-theme everything will be the same like before… what to do now?
Can you find a way, that I have a child-theme AND the same website-look like before? in the private data section of 4.2.2016 you find my login-details.

After the child theme activation, go to the Import / Export panel then import the parent theme options.
Best regards,
IsmaelFebruary 22, 2016 at 9:15 am #586974Hi Ismael,

I “imported parent theme settings” already “successfully”, but still have wrong colours, fonts, etc.

February 23, 2016 at 9:06 am #587585Hi,
Simply toggling a few settings and then saving again should help and your settings should have effect, please try that and let us know if it works or not.
Thanks,
RikardFebruary 23, 2016 at 10:57 am #587617Hi!
I toggeled a few settings and saved in between, but it didn’t help. At least text-design and colours are different compared to the situation I had before creating the child-theme.
Please help!
Best wishes,
RonaldFebruary 25, 2016 at 8:29 am #588803Hi!
What happens when you switch back to the parent theme? Do you see the correct theme options? If yes, go to the parent theme’s import / export panel then export the theme options. Activate the child theme, go to the same panel then import the theme settings back.
