Hi,
Ive installed the demo for the contruction site and i was hoping for the stock photos but cant seem to see where they would be in the image gallery.

You should see it in Media > Library.
The link you gave is local only to your computer thus we could not access it.
Can you give us a screenshot on your homepage where the slider of construction demo appears and also screenshot of your Media library? so we can atleast know what it looks on your end.Best regards,
