Tagged: sidebar
Client requires a static sidebar that remains in one place as page content scrolls.
We have built the site using a Child Theme for flexibility if that helps with any suggestions.
We have tried and researched this and have not found a method that would work without editing core files it seems….
Thank You,
James
Hey icvenfold!
There are plugins out there that you can try. I use this one on my blog, https://wordpress.org/plugins/q2w3-fixed-widget/, though it does not work perfectly. If you find a nice one to use then please share.
Cheers!
Elliott
OK I’ll give this a try today, thanks.
Hi!
Great, please let us know if it works for you or if you find something better.

Rikard
Just a note to say that this does not work well in Enfold. As noted on the developer plugin page, there are CSS mods that need to be made to some themes.. Enfold appears to be one. I would rather not do that if it means later theme updates will break those changes.
Hey!
If you place your custom CSS in Quick CSS or in a child theme they won’t be overwritten on updates.
Best regards,
Rikard
Thanks for the clarification on that.
