Good evening Folks,
new and hopefully easy question: how do I make my home page image adapt
to any screen format?Unfortunately, my client does not like full-screen images. So I put the start-picture
into a normal picture container. But the normal picture container does not
change its size automatically. Ok, it does, but not in each format. But I would like
the whole start page to be visible at a glance, no matter what format! How do
I get that? Please take a look at the site and you understand it immediately. If you do
have a big screen you see the complete page at a glance, of course…like me. ;)
But as I said, I want it so for each screen-format!! :)I’m looking forward to hear from you.
Best regards

Could you please attach some screenshots of the issue?
It looks very nice on my end and changes the width as it needs.
Could you please attach a mockup of what you’re trying to achieve?

thx for your reply. No problem…here are the screenshots,
which shows the issue quite good. In the vertical-view
everything is ok, especially at the desktop-resolution. But in
the horizontal-view the image is always half cutted, but I
have the wish that you can see the full image also in the
horizontal-view…including the text underneath. Is it now
clearer what my wish is?Best regards

VictoriaMay 12, 2020 at 3:59 pm #1212224Hi Victoria,
thx and sorry for the late reply, but I’m very busy at the moment.
The solution should be that the image is always completely visible,
also in the horizontal view! And the text underneath, too. I’m aware
that the image must be scaled smaller for this option. But that’s ok!In other words, no matter which view you are in (horizontal or vertical
view), the entire content should always be completely visible. But only
on the start page! In the vertical view it already works! :)Ok, I hope my wish has become clearer now, right? :)
Best regards
CarstenMay 15, 2020 at 1:49 pm #1213280Hi,
Thank you for the clarification.
If you want the whole image to be fully visible on different screen sizes, try to set the Styling > Background Image Background Repeat to Scale to fit. This option will resize the image just enough so that it’s visible inside the container, but this might also leave white spaces or gaps inside the color section.I didn’t notice that you’re using a slider. Have you tried using the Full Screen Slider? You have to insert additional css media queries and change the height of the slider manually if you need it to be always as tall as the browser screen — even on mobile devices.

May 16, 2020 at 6:14 pm #1213622Hi Ismael,
thx for your double-answer! :) During the waitingtime I changed the startpage
a little bit, sorry! ;) But I tried also what you’ve written first. First I didn’t
understand but after thinking about it’s got clear. But sorry, the result isn’t really
satisfying. ;-/So, now I’ve got the slider-solution. I can’t use the Fullscreen-Slider because
my customer don’t like it…I tried it already. You described in the following sentences what I have to do next. But would you
please so kind and tell me exactly which additional css I have to put in? In ad-
vance thx a lot!Best regards
CarstenMay 25, 2020 at 6:48 am #1215980Hi,
Why did you put the slider inside a column? It will be much more difficult to adjust if it’s inside another container. And please note that the images will have to be distorted to make it fully visible above the fold on all devices. Using the full screen slider is a better alternative.
Best regards,
