    Dear,

I would like the landing page of my website to be http://www.climbingulassai.com/home and not http://www.climbingulassai.com
This because the language switcher of WPML directs to the url without “/home”. Yet if if translate the homepage through wpml it automatically adds “/home” to it. giving the obvious page not found problem when changing the language.
    thanks

    Dear,

I would like the landing page of my website to be https://www.climbingulassai.com/home and not https://www.climbingulassai.com
This because the language switcher of WPML on the homepage directs to https://www.climbingulassai.com/?lang=it . This however is a non excisting page because using the wpml plugin through the advanced layout editor adds “/home” to it. giving the obvious page not found problem when changing the language.
    thanks

    Hi,

I can’t see a 404 error on either of the languages on your front page, did you manage to find a solution for this? If not, then please try to explain the problem a bit further.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    HEy,
thanks for getting back to me.
basically what happened is that the wpml plugin used through your advanced editor translates the homepage to : http://www.website.com/home/?lang=it
yet when i was using the language switcher on the homepage it gave me a 404 for the italian version because it tried to access http://www.website.com/?lang=it without the “home” permalink.
now i found out that i needed to set the homepage through enfold theme options not only for english, but also for italian. and then it works just fine.
such an easy solution that took my aaaages to figure out.

now that i have your attention, i would like to ask you another question.
On our contact page we use the google maps media block through the advanced layer editor. which is fine. On another page however I would like to display a personal google maps, that has a trajectory+other specific markers on it.
These specific markers do not have an adress only longitude and lattitude. Is there any way to do that? My personal maps are saved under my google account and have their own sharable link.

    thanks in advance,

    Ruben

    Hi,

Glad to know that the initial issue is fixed.

and have their own sharable link.

There should also be an embed code in the form of an iframe, close to the shareable link. You can copy that code and place it in a code block.

If you have any additional questions at this time we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Ismael
