Good Evening Folks,
new special file-question. A couple of days before I wanted to back-up my
webspace, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to do that because one folder
was/is tooo big! ;-/ The folder is named “dynamic_avia_folder“ and it is here:
wp-content —> uploads —> dynamic_avia (or see image 3).The problem is, the folder is full with tons of css-files…why is that so? (see image 1+2)
Ok, I can imagine why, bur why soooo much??? The folder is alone 23GB big!! Isn’t
it a little bit to overload?? I think so. ;-) And I’m not able to make an back-up because
my webspace is only 30GB big. So, what can I do with this folder to make it less big?I’m looking forward to your timely answer because I’m a liitle bit in hurry…thank you!
Best regards

December 23, 2020 at 4:35 am #1269435Hey Carsten,
Did you try to activate the option to delete the old CSS and JS files under Enfold->Performance? If that doesn’t help then please post admin WordPress and FTP login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

RikardDecember 23, 2020 at 1:10 pm #1269530Hi Rikard,
thank you for your reply!
Aah, I see…hopefully that is the thing (the button) which helps! ;-)
I didn’t activate it in the past because the info-text says, that you
shouldn’t activate it if you use an cache-plugin. And of course I
uses always cache-plugins – on my and on customers-sites! ;-)But right now I activated it. But there is no better result on the
server immediately. Should I delete the old css-files manually?
And if yes, which files do I have to delete and which not? Or do
I have to wait just a couple of minutes/hours until the files are
deleted by itself?I’m looking forward to your new answer…thx!
Best regards

They should be deleted by themselves if you activate that option, but something might be going wrong if they don’t. If you want to try to delete them yourself, then please turn off all caching, then delete all the CSS files, then change and save something in the theme options, so that the CSS will regenerate. If you need help with that then please include admin WordPress and FTP login details in private.
