    Hello,

    wie have a problem with a contact formular created with this theme.
    Special characters like äöü are removed in the resulting E-Mail.
    What happens here? I Think wie have to correct something in PHP or something else.
    Can someone tell us, what we have made wrong?

    does it work for you when using a plugin like Contact Form 7 ?

    Hello there,
    I have the same problem – special characters such as “ä” are getting messed up in the email. I have just tried the Contact Form 7 – this works just fine.
    I have updated all plugins, WordPress and Enfold, but the problem remains.
    Could you please check this?

    We have not worked on that issue, as it is related to the enconding and was not a priority, not reported a lot those 3 years :)

    Hi Basilis,
    thank you for your response! It’s true – we use Enfold on several websites and hadn’t had this issue yet.
    But still we somehow have to solve it. As it works with contact form 7, there is something we have to change in Endold Theme. Any ideas how to start?

    You might want to stick with the CF7 for now.
