Hey there,
I’m sure it’s very, very easy and I’m just missing something.
I set up a portfilio grid with 12 categories in. looks good so far.
But how do I decide which ione is the first and which one is
the last?

If you want to sort the categories you can use http://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/
If you want to sort the portfolio entries use: http://wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/
