    Hey,

the entries in the sidebar blog with title ‘categories’ are sorted in ascending order, f.e. from top to bottom

    Categories

    • report 2018
    • report 2019
    • report 2020

How can I show the entries in descending order?

    Thank you.

    Hey pirx1987,

Could you post a link to where we can see the actual element please?

    Best regards,

    Hi,

You can see this on my testing pages:

    http://www.dani-wp.info/berichte/spielberichte-2019/

The current sorting order under KATEGORIEN (CATEGORIES) is ascendant (2018, 2019, 2020) and I want it decendant (2020, 2019, 2018).

BTW: I have another question concerning this page. See

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Unfortunately I didn’t get an answer so far to my last reply.

IMHO (maybe wrong opinion) this should be possible using a filter with ‘ORDER BY’ in the mysql query. But I do not know the name of such a filter – if there is any.

    Hi pirx1987,

You will need to modify the /framework/php/function-set-avia-frontend.php to try to sort categories in the reverse order.

If you need further assistance please let us know.

    Thank you for your response.

I have added an array_reverse(..) in both lines that you marked before it is assigned to $id_array. But without success. The categories will still be shown in ascending order.

Could it be that there is no chance to order the categories? When I add blogs to new categories ‘aaa’ or ‘zzz’, these categories will always be shown at top.

This means that ALWAYS categories with new blogs will appear at top and that there is no chance to get them in ascending or descending order?

    Hi pirx1987,

Looks like categories are rendered by the date created and I cannot find the code where they are fetched and sorted.

    Best regards,
    Victoria
