Best regard !June 16, 2020 at 1:40 pm #1223021Hi,
Thanks for that. I can’t see any error messages on either the front or backend though. Where exactly are you seeing that?

RikardJune 16, 2020 at 9:55 pm #1223193Hi, I can’t find where I found this information…
Maybe at my website host ?…
Any idea about the breakdown ? Do you think it’s upload or host ?Best regards
June 17, 2020 at 12:53 pm #1223349Hi,
Thanks for the update. I’m not sure if I understand the problem you are having, could you try to explain a bit further where we can see the actual problem please? Also, you are saying that you saw this happening when uploading something? What exactly did you upload and where did you see the error message?
Best regards,
RikardJune 17, 2020 at 8:44 pm #1223487Hi,
The problem I encounter is that my website is no longer online. On the first page, I have this sentence : “We are very sorry but something went wrong. Please try again later.”
However, when I am on the dashboard, I see the site as it should be.
At first, I thought I had a cache problem, but from other computers, I see the same problem.
Do you understand my problem ?Initially, I updated:
– WordPress
– PHP to 7.3
– Certificat SSL
Then I downloaded Enfold and deposited the file with Filezilla.
My personal token is ok.Why my website is not online… ? A problem between Child and other version ?
Thank you for your solution !
Best regardsJune 17, 2020 at 9:57 pm #1223496Rikard,
I think it’s a problem between child and theme.
When I activate the main theme, it works. When I activate child, the theme does not work. Have I not forgotten a step in the update? I updated theme but what about child?
In other words, how do you update the child?
Best regardsJune 18, 2020 at 9:02 am #1223618Hi,
Thanks for the clarification. Your site is working fine on my end when logged in, and when the child is active. But I do see the message you are referring to when I log out. That error message does not come from the theme, and I don’t think it comes from WordPress either, since it has no styling at all. Maybe you could try reaching out to your hosting provider to see if they can see what is going wrong.
I don’t think the problem comes from your child theme, since it look totally empty. It doesn’t look like you have added anything to it at all?

RikardJune 19, 2020 at 9:29 pm #1224173Hi Rikard,
I don’t know how to update the child theme. Before the update of Enfold, the child theme was active! Did the update overwrite it? Someone from the Kriesi team set it up for me.
What to do to retrieve the settings? I do not understand because when I am connected, I see the theme as it should appear.
Best regardsJune 20, 2020 at 7:35 am #1224242Hi,
You don’t update child themes unless you really have to, and in your case the child theme is totally empty. That means it doesn’t actually do anything. I tried activating your parent theme and that get’s rid of the error message for some reason which I don’t understand. You could try to export your child theme settings though, then activate the parent and import the settings after that to see if that makes any difference. If not then I would advise you to completely delete the whole theme folder, then upload the theme again to see if that helps. Please make sure that you have backups of your site before you start doing that.
Edit; you could also try uploading a fresh copy of the theme into a new folder, called enfold_new or something similar, then activate that version to see what happens then.
If you should need any further help from us then please include FTP login details in private as well.

Thanks for the update. I see that you are currently using an old version of the theme, that might be the problem. Did you try uploading 4.7.5 to see if that helps? If you need further help then please include FTP login details in private with your next reply.

Thank you.
Following your message, I dragged the “Enfold” folder into the “theme” folder (with Filezilla). Unfortunately, the original problem returned…When I activate Enfold under WP, it seems to work, but in a non-personalized form. But when I activate Enfold Child, I run into a problem. But I am not comfortable using the child theme. I feel like the problem is coming from this specific point, right?
I don’t know what to do anymore…
