Hey there – we have some new translations up on the site. 1 of the 3 is actually showing up in Korean as expected. The others, with the exact same setup (I think) are not showing up. At first I thought it was W3TC but I have disabled that. It did help some of the redirect issues but did not help the content.
So for example this URL will show the Korean translation: https://tptgolf.com/tpt-shaft-tipping-101-how-and-why-to-tip/?lang=ko
This page will not: https://tptgolf.com/hi-or-lo-how-red-range-shafts-bend-the-rules/?lang=ko
From what I can see it looks like a shortcode is wrapping the content on the page that is not accurately showing the translations. Whereas it is not on another. I did reach out to WPML who confirmed the same.
I can provide temp admin access ASAP (below). Thanks!

VictoriaDecember 21, 2020 at 8:56 pm #1269168I’ll check the setup … but the weird thing is that I put all 3 translations into the system in the exact same way each time. but only the one translation is showing up appropriately. There are English texts in all versions – because there was not an appropriate translation. but that also seems OK in the one post which is showing up. But let me try your want to get pages translatable.

When I started to translate content, the WPML translator appeared to take up the entire page without enfold or WP chrome and had a lot of WPML controls. That is the way I handled all the original translations. However, when I access translations now to edit them, it is inside what looks like a normal enfold/WP content block editor. I’m wondering if this is causing the content to be wrapped in shortcodes and forcing the translations to not show up.
You still have access to the admin if you would like to go in and look. I really need to get resolution on this problem as the client is very anxious to translate.

I note that the WPML > Translation Management option says: “Before you can use WPML’s Translation Management, you need to complete this quick setup.” please see the first screenshot.
When you are viewing the frontend of the post, in the admin toolbar there is an “Edit Translation” option, is this the page you mean? I don’t see any shortcodes there. Please see the second screenshot.
Now when I compare this page of the working translation page, to the non-working translation, the non-working translation has mostly English text in the Korean translation. Please see the third screenshot.
Please try correcting the non-working translations. That is, I believe the translations are working correctly, but the translations of this page are in English, incorrectly, and changing the incorrect text to Korean will then display the language correctly.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 8, 2021 at 5:45 pm #1271125hey there! I have gone back in and taken a look around and everything is accurate, kinda. I’m not sure why the translations are now being grouped into basically one large block in the editor, that will be quite a pain to translate. However if you look, yes there are a lot of English words on the page but it is mostly product brand names that won’t be translated. The main content is translated. I have confirmed all of this.
I’m basically stuck at this point. If you are 100% sure it is not theme-related, then I’ll continue down the path with WPML, but as of right now they are saying it is theme related :)

Thanks for your feedback, I’m not 100% sure, so I took another look and I found that for the non-working page you have two pages with the same “slug”, this should not be possible, and they both have the same timestamp, please see the screenshot in the Private Content area.
To see this go to your “pages” then in the admin toolbar click “all languages”, now 66 pages should be shown, you will notice that one page has no [KO] translation and the other one has [EN] in the [KO] translation.
I would try to remove the page with no [KO] translation and manually edit the [KO] translation page of the other, this should solve the issue with this page.
Since no two posts or pages can have the same slug in the same hierarchical tree (parent-child combination), I’m not sure if changing the one page to “draft” will be enough, but please try, you may have to “Trash” and also empty your trashed pages to remove it.
Since your other page was only created once and has both translations correctly, I suppose this was a one-off error?
Do you have the option to create a “staging site” clone of this site in your webhost panel? If you do, I would recommend doing this and test the changes above. If not, that is ok.Best regards,
