Hi, on portfolio site everything created with Enfold elements works fine. But on ajax portfolio some elements doesn’t work: for example videos or several rows of columns. Any idea for that?
Thanks, StefanAugust 30, 2024 at 11:53 am #1465767Hey westefan,
Thank you for the inquiry.
Where can we check this issue? Please post a screenshot or provide a direct link to the page with the portfolio grid element.
Best regards,
IsmaelAugust 30, 2024 at 12:00 pm #1465770Hey Ismael, the site https://gic.dadanddaughter.design/fitness/ is in development. Please look at portfolio item “Icaros”. At the third column there should be 2 videos. And beneath there should be another 3 columns (not a grid element).
Thanks, StefanAugust 30, 2024 at 12:03 pm #1465772Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Did you add any custom code or script in this page? It’s possible that the custom code breaks the layout of the page. Please provide the login details in the private field.

IsmaelAugust 30, 2024 at 12:18 pm #1465775Hi,
no, at the bottom of the site there is an iframe, but no script.
I’ll send you credentials – many thanks in advance!
StefanAugust 31, 2024 at 5:51 pm #1465904September 2, 2024 at 7:49 am #1466026Hi Mike, these videos you see below the iframe should not be there – they are part of the ajax portfolio content (ICAROS).
Best regards, StefanSeptember 2, 2024 at 6:31 pm #1466069Hi Ismael & Mike,
as soon as I remove videos from the ajax portfolio part (advanced portfolio settings), everything work fine, even a second row of columns. So it seems that the only problem is the Enfold video shortcode within the ajax portfolio. Any ideas or solutions for that?
Thanks, StefanSeptember 3, 2024 at 5:17 am #1466083Hi,
So it seems that the only problem is the Enfold video shortcode within the ajax portfolio.
We are not yet sure why it causes the layout to break. In the meantime, please try embedding the video using the iframe or the actual embed code. You can also set the video URL in the portfolio item’s Additional Portfolio Settings > Overwrite Portfolio Link setting > Link portfolio item to external URL field. This should open the video in a lightbox when the portfolio item is clicked.

I love the video element because it allows the visitor to view in a lightbox after clicking, so it’s according to data protection rules. In this sense iframe or embed is no option. And because there are more elements within the ajax view a direct portfolio link is also no choice.
When you say “in the meantime” do you mean that you will check up this issue?
Best regards
StefanSeptember 3, 2024 at 12:36 pm #1466112Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Looks like the page is now displaying correctly, and there are still two videos in the Icaros portfolio item. Did you figure out the issue?
Best regards,
IsmaelSeptember 3, 2024 at 12:48 pm #1466116Hi Ismael,
no, I’ve removed all videos…
Best regards
StefanSeptember 3, 2024 at 12:58 pm #1466118Hi,
Could you create a test page and reproduce the issue on a dummy portfolio item with a unique category? Add the Portfolio Grid to the test page, then select the new category. Please make sure to include the shortcode videos in the dummy item.

Thanks, stefanSeptember 4, 2024 at 6:07 am #1466181Hi,
Thank you for the test page.
Looks like the issue also occurs when we directly embed the actual html of the video element or use a shortcode. As a temporary solution, we added an image element and placed the video URL as a link. When the image is clicked, it opens the video in a lightbox container. Will this be a sufficient temporary fix?

IsmaelSeptember 4, 2024 at 8:55 am #1466188Hi Ismael, that’s a great solution, many thanks! Is the opening in a lightbox controlled only by the image element (video link and open in the same window) or did you place some code somewhere?
Best regards,
StefanSeptember 4, 2024 at 9:05 am #1466189Hey!
Yes, it’s an image element with the video URL set as a link. Please make sure that the URL is from YouTube, Vimeo, or a self-hosted MP4 video.

So you can close this thread.
Thankful regards
