Hi,
After choosing Enfold over Eunoia, I found out that Enfold theme cannot use the Adv. Layout manager for styling a Post.
(I find it odd that this was already equested over a a year ago, and nothing yet has surfaced yet.)So…
– I found a solution on the forum that will change some code in the theme, and that’s something I’m not happy with doing.
– There’s also people that moved to the Portfolio for their posts, so they can have th benefit of the ALM.What is the best way to approach this?
And if I opt for option 2, how do I best set my main ‘Blog Layout’ settings and the ‘Template’ and ‘Page Layout’ settings so this will work properly? If there’s a video somewhere that would be great!
cheers,
rob

Thank you for using the theme!
The advance layout builder is not available for post because the post content is simply not suited for the kind of layouts it creates. You can only use the insert shortcode wand if you want to utilize the avia elements. Watch this video on how to add the avia builder on posts and custom post types: http://vimeo.com/64996057
These are the following problems that may occur when you switch to Advance Layout Builder on posts.
– Featured image will be lost on the single post view.
– The post title will switch to the left of the header instead of below the featured image.
– You can’t comment on posts.
– No related posts will be shown or interesting links.Cheers!

Thanks for that!
But I think I feel more comfortable making separate Portfolio pages and a ‘showcase’ overview page with large thumbnails.
I’m looking into the Portfolio options as my client isn’t very savvy with code, but does understand the ALB setup of a page.
I made templates so he just can create a new page, select a template and start with that. Add images, change text, Publish and Presto! ;-)
I’m afraid the shortcut editor in the standard Post will confuse him a great deal as one can only see the result properly afterwards. When creating a Portfolio Item it would be nice though to add tags like with categories, so you can see all defined tags as a list.
I have to admit the additional Item Settings and Ajax settings could use some more explanation or small video. It’s very confusing at first. Thanks for any tips,
rob
p.s. Love the theme and all the options. Also really like the way of changing little things in the theme, e.g. different color for H4 or something. Very nice!
