Hi,
i am displaying content of a page in the footer area.
I have added the ALB – SOCIAL SHARE BUTTON element to the page that gets displayed in the footer.
When I share a site it doesn’t share the current page link instead it shares the link to the FOOTER page. How can I fix that issue?
thanks

The issue is happening because you need to clear facebook cache. Please use facebook developer tools and this will do fix the issue.
Best regards,
BasilisMarch 6, 2019 at 1:40 pm #1075491Hi Basillis, I have tried that but the problem is still there.
All the share links have the same problem, not just the facebook share icon.
I have a TEMP. enabled the share icons on our single blog pages and you can see the first row of icons is working without a problem. The second row in the footer isn’t working the way it should.March 9, 2019 at 9:05 am #1076656Hi Shorty05,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

VictoriaMarch 18, 2019 at 1:37 am #1079746same problem here, could you please share the solution?
March 18, 2019 at 8:19 am #1079769I don’t have a solution so far. I didn’t had the time to look deeper into the problem.
March 20, 2019 at 7:09 pm #1080965Hi Shorty05,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 22, 2019 at 5:54 pm #1081955Sorry, I can’t post login credentials. It’s a client page and they don’t allow me to share logins. They have a lot of sensitive data from clients stored in the backend.
Have you tried to reproduce the problem in your developer environment?March 27, 2019 at 12:50 am #1083317Hi,
Unfortunately no a lot of what we can do like that.
Best regards,
Basilis -
