Hello,
I’ve been editing an upcoming post a lot today. I’ve checked the “Show Social Share Button” checkbox at the bottom (not sure if that’s yours or Jetpacks, but they said I had to talk to you about it as they couldn’t figure it out from their end.

When I preview my draft post, it’s sometimes there, but then it disappears, only when I’m using the Avia Advanced Editor to build a page or post (at least I think so). Sometimes it reappears if I check and uncheck and update several times (up to 18 this morning). But now that I’ve made more changes, it’s gone again and can’t seem to get it back.
Can you help?

It looks like that is coming from your Sharedaddy plugin, we can’t really say what’s wrong with that since it’s a third party plugin.

RikardHi Rikard – I don’t have Sharedaddy. But I do have Jetpack by WordPress. From what I understand, you’re saying that checkbox at the bottom of my posts aren’t part of Enfold. If that’s correct, OK thanks.
Hi Yigit. I would like to use the usual JetPack share that appears on all my posts. It just won’t work with your Avia Advanced Layout Builder/Editor. It works fine when I use the default editor. Can that help with troubleshooting? Thanks.
Hi again, I just drafted a new post with the default editor and it too is having the same problem. The Share buttons aren’t showing in the preview. Could it be that the Enfold Theme Update could have made that incompatible? Or perhaps they only appear after I publish – I’m doubting myself now. I just know I couldn’t get them to appear on one of my pages (http://www.dominiquehurley.com/inspirational-quote-buffet/ ) and now I’m concerned that’s true of my blog too. I’ll let you know after it publishes in the morning.
My apologies. They have appeared once the post published – for the default editor. Please don’t close this thread – I’ll test on Thursday if they appear for the Avia. They stil don’t appear on the Inspirational Quote Buffet Page, which is not a blog post.
Great news. The Jetpack social media buttons appeared automatically with the Avia post as well. The only mystery is why it’s not showing on http://www.dominiquehurley.com/inspirational-quote-buffet/ , which wasn’t a blog post, but a regular page. They’ve showed on other regular pages before.

Not sure if it’s supposed to show on the top or in the bottom of the page? Maybe it doesn’t matter since you have the Enfold sharing element at the top anyway?

RikardHi Rikard, It’s supposed to be on the bottom – see any other page on my website. I put the Enfold one in because I couldn’t get the other one to work. But I’d rather have consistency throughout the site. Any ideas?

1) Yes, I have Jetpack and in looking at it now, I see that it even has a checkmark to activate it inside Avia – see screen shot – https://www.dropbox.com/s/s79hwzi2sw0ekha/Screen%20Shot%202015-11-16%20at%201.08.35%20PM.png?dl=0
2) I tried putting the shortcode you gave me and it showed up on the Page. I then realized I had to download that plugin – I did and activated it. Then I put the shortcode in a Visual textbox and nothing appeared on the page.
3) I tried in the Text Textbox to click on the button code then put in the [jpshare] and then clicked on the code button again.
Am I supposed to be able to just drop [jpshare] into the Visual Textbox without any other code or buttons?

The jetpack’s share button is not included in the advance layout builder so you have to use the plugin’s shortcode inside a text block. I haven’t use that plugin before so I’m not that familiar with the settings. Please post the login details here so that we can check it :)

I am not using the Jetpack plugin but also experiencing the same issue – the social icons disappear when I publish a post using Advance Layout Builder. I am wondering if there is a way to force the default social share icons that come within the Enfold theme to appear when using Advance Layout Builder? If not, what is the best solution to having social share icons show up at the end of a post while still using ALB?
Note: I have a client who uses strictly ALB because they do not have any programming knowledge.

Hi Ismael, The Jetpack share checkbox does show up every time I write a post in my editor at the bottom, under the SEO box, which may also be from Jetpack (not sure anymore). So no matter if I’m in the default or Avia, I have the chance to choose it. And it did show up in my last blog post.
Very interestingly, today, as I was about to copy/paste the url of the page again that wasn’t working, the jetpack shortcode worked. It wasn’t working when I updated and previewed last time, but it’s there now. Thanks and resolved for me.
