My social icons are transparent for some reason. When I scroll they appear. The reason I know they are transparent is because I can hover in the area and the tooltips appear. Any idea how to fix this?
Also, I deleted all the quick CSS and the problem was still there.
Could it be a bug that happens when I have no menu item in the header? How would I fix that?
Thanks,
Jas

January 10, 2016 at 8:22 pm #562799Kind of urgent. Thank you
January 11, 2016 at 5:57 pm #563393Hey!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab
#top .av_header_glassy.av_header_transparency .social_bookmarks li, #top .av_header_glassy.av_header_transparency .social_bookmarks li a { height: 44px!important; line-height: 44px!important; }

YigitJanuary 12, 2016 at 5:56 am #563688Thank you. I will try that later today. Can you tell me why I would need quick CSS to make an element visible that should have never disappeared?
January 12, 2016 at 4:18 pm #563958Hey!
There seems to be a CSS conflict somewhere in your code. Removing your custom CSS and flushing cache should solve the issue. If not, please use the one i posted above :)
Cheers!
YigitJanuary 13, 2016 at 8:12 am #564397I’m going to number these issues for clarity.
1. Issue 1 – disappearing social icons
– I deleted ALL quick CSS
– I disabled the cache at the web host.
– I then used a browser on a computer that has never been to the website. The icon problem remains even with ALL quick CSS deleted.2. Issue 2 – social icons not centered in header
– I deleted ALL quick CSS
– The icons are not centered and the hover highlight is odd. See these 3 screenshots.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1049926/Screen%20Shot%202016-01-13%20at%2012.01.25%20AM.png3. At this time there is NO quick CSS on my site. I have removed it temporarily.
Now that we know that quick CSS is not the issue, and we can see several problems on this site, let’s find out what the problem is. It is important because I will be using this as a template for all my “coming soon” placeholders. This is not a plugin issue as you can see. There must be a bug in the theme somewhere. Can we pull in Kriesi on this please?
See private content below.
Urgent and thank you,
Jas
4. There is also this problem on the same site

January 13, 2016 at 10:05 am #564462Hi!
1.) are you sure that you did not modify any theme files? cause your social icons in header are behaving weird. There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/
2.) Use this code in Quick CSS field:
#header_main .noLightbox.social_bookmarks.icon_count_5 { top: 15px; }
and adjust as needed.
3.) Unfortunately Kriesi is very busy, but we will take care to support you. If you are working on a time sensitive project we recommend to hire a freelance developer for this job.
Cheers!
AndyJanuary 13, 2016 at 10:18 am #564470Hi Andy,
I did not edit the theme files. There may be a corruption. I agree. Or a bug of some kind that I triggered with a combination of settings in the dashboard. If I delete and re download, is there a way to preserve all the work I’ve done? Like 100% of it? Then reapply?
Thank you, Jas
January 13, 2016 at 12:17 pm #564579Hi!
you should not loose any settings when deleting theme files, as your settings are still stored inside of your database. However, make a backup, just in case.
Best regards,
AndyJanuary 13, 2016 at 12:18 pm #564581Forgot one item. I am using a Child Theme. Does this create any additional steps I should be aware of?
Thanks,
JasJanuary 13, 2016 at 12:20 pm #564584Hey!
no and we definitely recommend to use a child theme.

AndyJanuary 13, 2016 at 11:57 pm #565067Can you tell me exactly what I should delete please before I reinstall? See screenshot below.

January 14, 2016 at 12:36 pm #565349Hi,
The two theme folder, Enfold and enfold-child, but overwriting the files should have the same effect if you feel more comfortable with that?
Thanks,
RikardJanuary 16, 2016 at 7:47 am #566478Hi,
I overwrote the enfold folder. That had no effect on the problem. Didn’t solve it.
In the mean time, I have replaced the quick CSS.
My concern about overwriting the enfold child theme is, I will lose all the edits the child theme is applying correct? Is it probable the child theme is causing this issue? Thoughts?
Thanks,

January 18, 2016 at 8:26 pm #567349Hi!
we tend not to work on the weekend and refuse from bumping into your own thread, as it pushes it behind in our queue and marks it as answered and then we can’t provide a faster reply to you.
Could be possible that child theme is causing it. Make a backup and then activate Enfold theme (and not the child theme) to check it. Overwriting files via ftp won’t be enough if there are some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files via FTP completely before getting a fresh copy from your themeforest account.
Cheers!
AndyJanuary 19, 2016 at 10:41 am #567733Hi Andy,
I’m not sure I understood what you said. You said “refuse from bumping into your own thread”. Refuse? Did you mean refrain? Also so I understand how this works. It seems that you are saying to me not to add a another post after I’ve already posted. What about if I post then come back and EDIT my post?
Also, I’ll try your solution and get back to you,
Thanks
January 19, 2016 at 8:52 pm #568100Hi!
yes I meant refrain.
Let us know if you still need help.

AndyJanuary 19, 2016 at 10:09 pm #568168Yes, What about if I post then come back and EDIT my post? Does that cause a problem as well?
January 19, 2016 at 11:17 pm #568211Hi!
hm not sure, try it out and check if time of your post gets updated as well or if it stays with the original time.
Best regards,
AndyJanuary 19, 2016 at 11:36 pm #568221Test
Test EDIT
The post time does not get updated.
So what does this mean? Does my post get marked as read on your side if I bump my post, but not.. if I EDIT the post?

January 19, 2016 at 11:49 pm #568235Hey!
if post time does not get updated it should be fine to edit it.
Best regards,
AndyJanuary 19, 2016 at 11:51 pm #568239So what happens when I bump it?
Are you saying the thread gets marked as read and then it takes longer for you to respond?
Thank you
January 20, 2016 at 12:10 am #568255Hi!
this will happen if you post a new post into your own thread. But if post time does not get changed (when editing your post), then this should not happen I think.
Cheers!
AndyFebruary 10, 2016 at 2:03 pm #581122Hello,
For some reason the social icons have disappeared again from the desktop site.
The mobile site is perfect.
I added the CSS you suggested above and altered it slightly.
#header_main .noLightbox.social_bookmarks.icon_count_5 { top: 15px; }
#top .av_header_glassy.av_header_transparency .social_bookmarks li, #top .av_header_glassy.av_header_transparency .social_bookmarks li a { height: 45px!important; line-height: 45px!important; } /*corrects social header bookmarks issue*/
Perhaps there is some conflicting CSS?
Thank you,
Jas
February 11, 2016 at 12:17 pm #581563Hi!
to check if there is some conflicting CSS remove all CSS codes one by one and let us know about your results.
Cheers!
AndyFebruary 14, 2016 at 9:02 am #582884Yes this is conflicting:
.responsive.html_header_top.html_mobile_menu_tablet #header_main .social_bookmarks { display: block!important; top: -30px!important; } /*icons postion*/
I changed it to this
@media only screen and (max-width: 479px) { .responsive.html_header_top.html_mobile_menu_tablet #header_main .social_bookmarks { display: block!important; top: -30px!important; }} /*icons postion*/
Thank you. You can close this topic!
