I have checked that the correct box is tickied in “Writing” but still my ‘text’ smileys are not converted to an image. I have left a space before and after the smiley but still nothing…

Please switch back to the Default WP theme so we can discard if the issue is caused by the theme or not.

January 2, 2014 at 6:45 pm #204586Go to Appearance > Themes and activate the WP theme (it should be called twenty three or twenty twelve), once you done that, go back to your page and check if the smileys appear or not.

Create a new User (Users > Add New), fill it with some info and set it as an Administrator, then put the login info here as a private reply.
