Hello there,
I’ve recently launched a website I’ve created using Enfold: http://www.genkibooks.co.nz. Unfortunately however it seems that to load the website for the first time it takes longer than I would like it too. I’ve run multiple speed tests at different times, and changed the png images I had to JPEGs.
Sometimes the speed tests load the page quite quickly, and other times it can take up to 20 seconds.
Q: Any idea what causes this inconsistency
Q: Do you think its my host (hostgator) causing the slow load, or is there something else I could change.
Here is a link to one of my recent speed tests: http://www.webpagetest.org/result/150114_88_WVT/1/details/
It seems the “time to first byte” takes up a large portion of the load time.
Thank you for your help in advanced! Much appreciated.
Thanks,
Brett
Hey Brett!
Yes it feels like the server is hanging up on something. After it was cached though it loaded within 2-3 seconds on each refresh.
I would try contacting your hosting provider about this to see if they have any idea.
Also be sure to deactivate all plugins while testing.
Best regards,
Elliott
