From the start my pages have been lading very slowly. We do not use a lot of pictures. We use plugins, but these were added much later. They do not seem to have made any difference in loading time.
    Thanks.

ps. How many plugins are too many. I know they are not the same, but a rough estimate would be nice?

    Hey!

I am not expereincing any slow load times on my end.

Is their a particular page that has been loading slowly on your end?

If yes, please try disabling all of your plugins as a test to see if they are affecting your load times.

Wow, that actually helped. Do I have too many plugins then? How many is too many? I know you cant say really, but an estimate.

    Hey!

    I can’t say for sure.

It really depends on what process each plugin performs, some (or even one in particular) may be resource heavy.

You could try activating one plugin at a time then test your reload speed.

Have you tested the load speeds on other devices as well, because I’m not seeing a noticeable difference in the speed on my end.

    Dake

Well i tested on 2 cell phones, ipad mini, ipad 3 and two stationary machines. All very slow loading, considering we are not picture heavy at all. I have now tried to activate one plugin at a time, I still do not know whats what. Also, could it be a combination of several plugins maybe? Then it would be impossible to know.
I will ask you this; do you think that the load time you are seeing are acceptable at this time (all plugins are activated once again)?
    Thanks.

ps. on all the above devices it takes 1-2 sec. to load a simple page Is that what you see too??

    Hey!

Have you tried loading the site on a different internet connection?

I have loaded the site on an android phone, a pc and a mac on 2 different internet connections.

I’m still not experiencing a slow load time.

    Best regards,
    Dake

While admittedly 3 of the tests were on the same connection, the rest were not.
If you feel that the pages does not load too slowly, I am gonna go with that for now.
I will def have to do some more testing though. With the different plugins, and with different connections. As what I see right now, is not quite acceptable to me.
Thank you so much for your time. I might have to get back to you guys re this in the near future :-)

    Hi!

    Sounds like a plan IBIS_Solutions :)

Although, the loads times are starting to fluctuate as of my most recent testing.

If I refresh the contact page 3 different times, 1 or 2 out of those refreshes will take an unusually long time.

If you are unable to pin point what plugin might be causing it.

Please provide us with temporary access to your website so we can take a closer look.

    Best regards,
    Dake

Ok so I tried deactivating my plugins, one at a time. Even different combinations (not all!!). Still very slow loading times. Please see private section.

PS. I got the time down to half (by removing the preload image! A shame to loose it.), but some pages at some times loads way slower than our current site.

    #481496

    Hey!

I’m noticing a slight improvement in load times now that the preload image has been disabled.

However, images are still taking a while to load up the first time around.

This is very unusual since the image sizes are not particularly big (roughly 200kbs).

Have you considered an alternate server, since it seems your current one has speed/loading issues.

    Cheers!

You think it is the server? Thats very interesting. We will be moving the site to a virtual Linux server when the site goes live, but it is with the same hosting service. So I dont know if this would change anything. Also the hosting service we use are considered to be the best, I doubt that they have “slow” servers. Also I dont know if you had time to look at the link I provided to our current site, that loads way faster, and it is hosted by the same hosting service.

    Hi!

I checked your site and it loads pretty fast for me. Could you fix it?

    Best regards,
    Andy

OK, thank you so much for checking this out. I didn’t change anything else :-) I will leave it for now, and then go back to this later. But if you feel that its all good, I am thinking that it is. Thanks.

    #482809

    Hey!

It’s loading much faster for me as well.

If the loading issue ever returns, feel free to create another thread or request that this thread be reopened.

    Cheers!
