Hi Kriesi Team,
Your Enfold theme is fantastic! It’s easy to use and the people I create websites for are very pleased with the results!
While the theme is really, really great- I am having an issue with the site loading very, very slowly. I’ve searched your forums and done everything suggested to compress images and scripts and minimize the size of the site – but nothing seems to be working. Can you guys take a look at it and see if there are some settings that I need to adjust somewhere to make it run more quickly?
Thank you so much!

I tried viewing your link but your site is timing out for me. I would try contacting your hosting provider to make sure everything is ok.

Thank you for looking… the site is up now- but it is running very slow (it takes more than 1 minute to load at times). All of the plugins have been disabled with the exception of the slider- which seems to have helped somewhat.
GoDaddy insists the issue is the theme. They came to this conclusion by switching from Enfold to a default theme. When they do that, the page loads in just over half-a-second.
Are there any scripts or anything running that I could try tweaking to get the site to load faster?
Thanks,
JohnApril 23, 2015 at 10:15 pm #433798Hello pabloj13,
I moved the hosting provider of my website, that was stayed in Brazil, to Godaddy. I stayed with them for 2 days, and then I ran out!! My website simply did not open.
The solution was to return to a hosting provider placed in Brazil (country where I live).
At Goddady, I chose a hosting plan focused on WordPress. It was really cheap, and the details of my site was according to the plan. But, the website did not open.
I called to Godaddy and explained the situation, and they told me that the plan that I chose was too cheap.
Very nice! I asked my money back and hired another company.
April 24, 2015 at 8:43 am #433947Hi!
@lerama: Thanks for sharing. Hosting plan do have a huge impact regarding page speed. Availing the most affordable plan is really not advisable especially when you’re using WordPress.
@pablo: Install cache and minify plugins and make sure that images are fully optmize:http://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/I noticed that the site is loading inside a frame. Why is that? It will disable the responsive nature of the site.
