    I have created a slideshow of sorts using a plug in on this page:

    However I am not thrilled with the appearance. I’ve toyed around with posts,galleries, portfolios and sliders but haven’t yet found the right combination. Specifically I need one large photo with a title and description with thumbnails below or on the side. Eventually I would like the photo to link to a page. Do you have a recommendation on the best way to accomplish this? Thank you!!

    Hi mgould!

    You can use the ajax portfolio feature: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio/portfolio-ajax/ – i.e. the “SINGLE PORTFOLIO: BIG SLIDER” entry layout comes pretty close to the layout you want to create.
