Hi. I have a couple of questions:
1. I have just re-configured the slider settings. However, after adjusting the slider height to smaller dimensions, I noticed that it was disproportionately small on mobile. Slider height on tablets are acceptable but height is too small on mobile phones. Please advise how I can resolve this? Would a quick CSS help or do I need to change the slider settings itself?
2. Another followup inquiry about the slider – I likewise noticed that the slider image does not stretch / adjust on mobile as it does on desktop (leaving white spaces on the left side and right side). How could I resolve this issue and what is the ideal way to resize photos in order to perfectly fit the sliders on both mobile and desktop? Thanks.
November 25, 2015 at 12:16 pm #542310Hi BootsD!
You can refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/hide-menu-itemselements-on-mobile/ and choose to display a different slider on mobile.
Cheers!

The documentation you pointed out seems to deal with hiding elements on mobile. Do they apply to enlarging the slider on mobile phones as well? Again, the height on tablets is fine but they’re disproportionately small on mobile phones.
Pls clarify. Thanks

Using the code in post i linked, you can display a different slider which is made for mobile devices especially.
Cheers!
YigitNovember 26, 2015 at 11:22 am #542990Hi. I’ve just gone through the documentation and tried all the codes and none of them made any difference even with the functions indicated.
I’m not a developer but I don’t see how these will help display a different slider. I’ve tried going through other forum replies and tried adding other quick css codes but none of them are making a difference on the slider size (specifically for height) on mobile either. Pls advise what I might be missing as the slider is really tiny on mobile phones and the text is not readable. Also, please address the image size on mobile which does not fit accordingly on mobile unlike on desktop. Will this be resolved as well once I’m able to ‘display a different slider which is made for mobile devices’?
Hoping for your quick reply. Thanks.
December 1, 2015 at 3:08 am #544948Hey!
The layer slider will try to keep its aspect ratio so it will dramatically decrease in size on smaller screens. The documentation will enable you to hide the current layer slider and show another slider that displays better on smaller screens, probably, a full screen slider. You have to do the following:
1.) Edit the layer slider then go to the Slider Settings panel. Enable the Hide on mobile option in Layout > Other settings section. This will disable the layer slider on mobile devices.
2.) Turn on the custom css class. You have to refer to this link: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/
3.) Edit the page where you add the layer slider then add another slider. You will probably want a full screen slider for this because the objective is to display a larger slider on mobile devices.
4.) Add a unique class called “only-mobile” (it will force the slider to only display on mobile devices) to the full screen slider and then add the css codes as explained in documentation: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/hide-menu-itemselements-on-mobile/
Cheers!
IsmaelJanuary 8, 2016 at 5:18 pm #562112Hi there,
Thank you for your suggestions.
As stated earlier, the sequence of slides works on iPhone – no.1 plays, at the end, no.2 slides in and I click start. , etc etc.
So, your slider Do work on Apple mobile… with a series of videos in sequence. But this does not work on Android. It freezes the screen, or simply return to the same slide that just played.
My question is: is it Android and there’s nothing we can do, or can the Layer Slider be adjusted to also work in this particular usage on Android. (the usage being: sequence of videos.
Have a nice day.
