Hi:
I have a site in 3 languages. Almost everything work fine but slider module is not being translated. It takes only main language. Can you please have a look? I’m using Polylang plugin. Take a look here:
“proyectos” slider should be shown in catalan language, in catalan home (the same in english):
But it only takes spanish portfolio items titles.
Tha same happens with “publicaciones” slider. It only takes spanish titles :(
January 21, 2022 at 6:32 am #1336463Hey inextable,
Thank you for the inquiry.
Did you use the WPML Translation Editor to translate the content of the portfolio items? In the “Language” box, make sure that the default translation editor is enabled before clicking the translation (+) button. Please check this documentation for more info.
// https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/enfold/#Translating-custom-post-types-taxonomies
You may also need to translate the portfolio categories or taxonomies.

IsmaelJanuary 21, 2022 at 1:31 pm #1336534Thank you for your answer.
I’m not using WPML, I’m using Polylang
Categories are translated (see jpg attached) and when I insert the slider module, I see the categories also translated (jpg attached).
Could you check if there’s something wrong?January 24, 2022 at 3:18 am #1336801Hi,
Thank you for the clarification.
The screenshots are not accessible and we cannot access the dashboard using the URL above. For some reason, we get a 403 forbidden error (see private field). Did you change the login URL?

There was an IP restriction in my server but it’s already solved. Please try again (I opened another ticket and support team could access properly).
Thanks and regards
January 25, 2022 at 1:11 pm #1337060Hi,
Thank you for the access.
The appropriate sliders seem to be displaying as they should on every languages (see private field). Would you mind providing a screenshot of the issue? The last two screenshots above are not accessible.

IsmaelJanuary 25, 2022 at 2:11 pm #1337073Hi:
Please try jpgs attached now. I don’t know why tou can’t access to the other links.
Slider translation is not working at all. And neither menu translation.January 26, 2022 at 4:25 am #1337195Hi,
Thank you for the info.
Looks like you haven’t updated the title of the translated portfolio items, which is why they still display in the original language. Please check the screenshot of the EN portfolio items in the private field. The titles are still in ES.

IsmaelJanuary 26, 2022 at 10:30 am #1337234Ok, I’ve changed one of the titles (transparency etc etc…) but still nothing. Besides, portfolio categories are translated indeed and also not showing right in th slider. Please see scrennshot. I already tested in catalan, not english, but if it’s easier to you to check it in english, then let’s test english comparing to spanish.
Also notice MAin Menu is not being either translated.January 28, 2022 at 9:17 am #1337638Hi,
Thank you for the clarification.
We can now see the issue but we are not yet sure why it always display the ES portfolio items instead of the translated posts for the current language. The slider’s taxonomy query seems to be correct. Is it working correctly when the other plugins are deactivated?
Best regards,
IsmaelJanuary 31, 2022 at 7:52 pm #1338082Hi:
Thanks for your answer.
I’ve deactivated all external plugins and still nothing.
I don’t know what to do, any ideas?
If I migrate to WPML issue would be solved?
ThanksFebruary 2, 2022 at 7:29 am #1338390Hi,
We created a test page in ES, translated it to the other languages, added the portfolio grid, and it worked properly. The grid on each language displays the appropriate portfolio items. We also created a test portfolio item and translated it as well, and you will see this as the very first item in the grid.
Did you use the + buttons when you translated the home pages? Please check the screenshot below.

Yes, you could try and install the WPML plugin, but make sure to create a site backup or a restore point just in case you to revert back to the previous plugin. To properly translate the pages using WPML, please check the following documentation.

IsmaelFebruary 3, 2022 at 1:18 pm #1338680Hi:
Thanks for your answer.
But I don’t understand the screenshot you sent to me. It’s not an image on my site and there’s nothing about translations on it.Besides, I don’t understand your tests… my problem is in SLIDER element, which it’s inserted in my home page in different languages and it’s not taking titles nor categories. Please try to work on my specific issue… I’ve tried to be very clear in my explanations, I can try harder if it’s necessary. See my screenshots again.
My portfolio items are translated. which it doesn’t show translated is the SLIDER ELEMENT
Main menu is translated but is not working at all (I openen a different ticket but I still had no answer). Thanks
February 4, 2022 at 5:44 am #1338810Hi,
Sorry about the screenshot. Please check this one again.

Are you aware that the portfolio grid is not displaying the translated items? Regardless, we added the slider in the test pages above and the appropriate items displayed correctly for both the slider and the portfolio grid element, which means that the home pages were not translated properly.
Best regards,
