I have tried almost everything to speed up my site but I am sure I missed something. it loads very slow 8 sec or more. if I don’t find a solution i have to get rid of this template.

You can see a full rundown of what is being loaded on your site and how long it takes on the URL in private. Looking at your results it looks like most of the time is spent waiting for the server to respond, that would be something to bring up with your hosting provider.

vertrotors.comThe speed I am seeing on the demo is very nice, but the site loads very slowly.
I am using exactly the same image dimensions as in the demo content – the same image scaling times.I am getting rid of this theme, a waste of time

Thanks for the feedback, how did you come to the conclusion that the theme is causing your problems?

RikardFebruary 1, 2017 at 11:28 am #741149Hi Rikard and support team,
Enfold is a good theme, with lots of functionality – this is really good. After a few days I managed to increase the speed from 9s to 3s by using CDN and caching, and it looks much better now (see details below). But I still have a big problem as I am stuck with 3.3.2 and cannot update to 3.8.4
Current status:
– GTMetrix shows 3s load time of Homepage (http://vertrotors.com) – see https://snag.gy/twGn5c.jpg
Before it was 9s, and I was really sad. I can live with that, but do you think I can increase the speed more? What I have done in the last 3-4 days:
– set up an account with Cloudflare CDN. Here is the stats: https://snag.gy/KbNiBw.jpg
– installed WP Super CacherCurrent problems: cannot update to 3.8.4
– I have to run version 3.3.2. When I update Enfold to 3.8.4, in Colour Section, all Section Background images in Parallax disappear.
[Colour section / Section Background / Background attachment]
If I change the setting from Parallax to Scroll, the background images re-appear, but they are static (not Scroll).
Am I doing something wrong? I am using a lot of this content (background image with text overlay) and cannot u8pdate to 3.8.4
Can you please help with this.February 4, 2017 at 10:24 am #742745Hi,
When updating the theme make sure to make a backup first and then disable cdn and caching plugin, sometimes caching plugins cause problems after updating causing some weird behaviors because the old files are still being fetched and mixed with the new ones.
