Hello,
I’ve just checked my staging site on ipad and iphone and it isn’t responsive, but it is responsive when I change the window size on desktop.
I’m using a custom child theme, which does not interfere with enfold’s layout styles. I’m afraid I can’t give you access to my staging site because it’s got all kinds of security applied.
The fact that it’s fine and desktop but not on mobile makes me think that it’s a viewport thing. When I check the <head> code the viewport reference is <meta name=”viewport” content=”width=device-width, initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1″> . Is this correct?
I have tried deactivating all of my plugins, but that doesn’t help at all.
I had a look at the forums and it looks like a couple of others have had similar issues ( https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-not-responsive-on-iphone-with-wide-setting/ and https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-not-responsive/ ) but they appear to have been resolved offline without the solution being posted.
I really am at a bit of a loss with this and I need to sort it out quite urgently (I suspect everybody says that :).
Thanks in advance for your help.

August 6, 2015 at 10:03 am #483758I just tried changing the theme to enfold to see if the issue was with my child theme, but it behaved exactly the same and was not responsive on mobile devices.
August 6, 2015 at 10:48 am #483776On further investigation here’s what I found.
When I migrate from my local mamp server to my staging server, I use update the paths to the IP (101.101.101.11) and not the subdomain stage.mysite.com. If I go to stage.mysite.com I can see my site, but I can only access wp-admin from the IP, which sort of makes sense since all the paths are the IP.
On a mobile device, if I go to stage.mysite.com my site is not responsive, but if I go to the IP then it is responsive. But that sort of seems weird to me.
I used wpmigratedb to export my local db, but this time instead of converting localhost –> IP, I converted localhost to stage.mywebsite.com.au. Only problem was, when I did that, I lost all my formatting and images and couldn’t access wp-admin from either IP or stage.mysite.com.
All of this makes me a bit concerned about what I’m going to do when I migrate to the live server. Have you got any ideas of what is going on?
That is, why it is responsive on the IP and not on the subdomain, when it is the same?
Also, any tips that you may have to help smooth the transition to the live server would be much appreciated.
August 7, 2015 at 11:32 am #484447Hi!
please have a look at this tutorial: http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/migrating-your-wordpress-database-wp-migrate-db-production-to-development–wp-32684
WP Migrate DB does not move any media files. You have to move them by your own via FTP.
