chanimal.com uses the color section with images, parallax, center/center, no repeat on the home page in a few places (and throughout the site).
The images look fine when logged in, but they blow up to about 10x the size when I log out. You can see on the site.chanimaluniversity.com is another site (same server, same design idea, all the same plugins (plus more for woocommerce), both running on WordPress 6.1.1. Every plugin is updated.
chanimaluniversity.com works, but chanimal.com does not work (unless you log in). I thought this started today, but I restored from yesturday’s version and the same problem existed (I didn’t catch it since I go there logged in).
Please advise.
November 17, 2022 at 12:38 pm #1372925Hey tedfinch,
Thanks for the login details. Getting different results depending on if you are logged in or not would suggest a problem with cache. I see that you are running a caching plugin and I tried to clear the cache, but that didn’t change anything unfortunately. Could you try deactivating the plugin to see if that changes anything please? Also make sure that there are not other caching on the site.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 17, 2022 at 1:40 pm #1372944Ok, I had cloudways working on the cache issue last night. I have cleared every cache, including all server cache. I have turned off the cache pluglin. I have tested incongnito on three browsers. I am still having problems with chrome and edge, but firefox seems to be ok. Odd that it is ONLY the colored background images that are causing the problem (but they are on most of the pages). How is chanimal.com looking on your side?
November 17, 2022 at 4:45 pm #1372969Hi,
Thanks for the update. I could see the problem before, and I saw that the browser was looking for a file which didn’t exist. I don’t see the problem any more though, and the error message is gone, both in my regular and private browser window. Could you try checking again please? I didn’t change anything, so it’s likely that the cache was removed or expired.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 18, 2022 at 3:53 pm #1373109Thanks for the update. Once isolated to cache, I could figure it out. I have turned off the cache for now, will let everything expire, then turn it back on. I am still curious as to how it happened, but I’m happy it is fixed. Thank you for your help. Cheers – Ted
