I disabled all the plugins and it persistsHi Nancy,
I can’t see any flickering on my end using Chrome. What exactly are you doing in order to create the problem you are seeing on your end?

RikardJust moving from menu button to menu button. I have made a little recording:
the press page (masonry) loads well, the Lab Members, Research and Courses pages show the black screen for a bit before the page loads.

Thank you for the screencast, I would describe this as your page loading rather than a “flicker”, to reduce this I would recommend using a caching plugin, WP Fastest Cache typically works well.
Another option would be to activate the Enfold Theme Options > Page Preloading option.Best regards,
