I have struggled with the single post blog for hours and hours. It is not making sense.

Here is a blog post: https://lazanlawd.wpengine.com/can-text-messages-form-a-binding-real-estate-contract/

My objective is to create a featured image that can be full size — or at least larger than it is right now. I tried two ways to do this:

    1. I tried creating a page titled “Blog-single” with a blog element in it and a large image. I did set the Theme Options to display at Blog-single. When I manually type https://lazanlawd.wpengine.com/blog-single/, the element looks perfect! But, when I use the name of the blog, it does not. See https://lazanlawd.wpengine.com/can-text-messages-form-a-binding-real-estate-contract/.

    2. I tried to edit the PHP changing $size to full, as is suggested in one of the previous support forums. I also tried other PHP solutions. No luck. Although, I am not an experienced PHP programmer, so that could be a mistake on my end.

I would prefer to have option 1 working and leave the PHP alone. Can you figure out what is wrong? Thank you.

    Hey rmatus,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

A full width image for the single blog post should be possible but you have to either modify the template directly as you did previously, or use the Advance Layout Builder (ALB) and add fullwidth elements such as a slider or a color section. However, this means that you will have to manually add the content to the posts including the meta info, the comments area and the social share section, which are all available in the builder as elements.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Ismael,
I really do not know what to do here.
The image does not need to be full width. It just needs to not be cut off on the top and bottom to fit the portfolio size.
Can you be more specific, please?

I’ve given up. Over 10 hours on this problem. I will find another way to solve the problem.
